It does not look to me that weather is related to the season at all. If it is then disregard.
If if is/was related to the season then you would not walk out of a snowstorm in Hydlaa into a summer looking day on the BD road. It would also be cool to rp to give a sense of the season by simply looking at the weather as opposed to trying to make sense of the time system of PS.

The weather is currently quite random.
The in-game calendar is currently quite inconsistent (not even meaning the "groundhog year"...). Its consistency would probably be a prerequisite for consistent weather.

Time is consistent it just never moves forward. The months and seasons are all in settings to my understanding. It is not my suggestion to move the clock ahead in cycles yet simply mark the ground hog cycle that we seem to be trapped in. In so doing the ground hog feature may be more hastily replaced.

Given the game's geology, how should the weather be changing?
Should there be seasons? If so, why?
Should mountain peaks be colder? Is yes, why?
Should there be rain storms? How would they form?
As for time of day and date, should the date be pegged to the US calendar or Italian? Should leap year be followed? Should daylight savings be observed? Do these things have relevance in the game? Are such cycles geologically possible given the settings?

As to weather you can cause rain to happen in a beaker. Moisture in the upper cavern would certainly fall below eventually. Heat held in the earth from the Crystal's daylight would cause temperture differences in the atmosphere if you will.

Incrementing date and time could enable other features. Char who age. Mobs that have seasonal behavior changes. An ability to record history as it occurs IG. Time limited quests. Seasonal changes to harvesting and plant gathering. Some lakes and streams could be seasonal. (impassable in the spring, dry in the winter) The ability to schedule crystal eclipses. It would also allow for holidays and other calendar days that events could be hung off of.

yes i agree the weather in ps can be a little humm "strange" you can found snow falling inside jirosh shop or into the arena or a wonderfull sun into oja and snow falling just after the doors of the city and i remenber this post i have never writing in the forum called "things you can found in real life but not in ps"

no thanks, we do not want the burden of ages for your characters ;)
Mobs that have seasonal behavior changes.
Mobs/NPCs can already react to specific time perceptions like hour/day/month. We are now implementing day and night cycle for some mobs, in the future we may implement even seasonal ones, but one thing at time ;D
