Title: update available, but no permission?

I've just downloaded the game to my mac, and I can't wait to try it out, but whenever I open the launcher, it just says that there is an update, but I don't have the correct permissions to continue. Any ideas?
I've tried opening the game directly, but I just get to the login-site and then it says the connection to the server failed. I could really use a helping hand, I'm not that good with the technical stuff  :-[

hello
i play whit a pc but i think you need to be the "administrator" of your mac for upgrading the game look in the "planeshift for mac" for more info i think

make sure you have the game installed correctly (you must unpack the dmg-file):

I'm having the same problem on my PC, is it the same thing to fix it or is there another way to do it? I wanna play too D:
EDIT: nevermind, all i had to do was run as admin
