Ierefal is a time of festivals known as the Coming. They represent when the various races arrived in Yliakum.
Source: PSwiki (http://194.116.72.94/pswiki/index.php?title=Ierefal)
[Ierefal is a festival known to everyone! It's almost impossible to not know about it ICly.
To be able to make the event possible, I need as much help as I could get. If you need to contact me, simply answer in this thread, or you could PM here on the forum, via /tell if I am for once IG (Jilata or Oele) or look at #ps-revolutiontalk. I am usually hanging around there. If I am not there, just talk with eonwind there.
Some ideas are already gathered (they are not all from me!). If you have other ideas, you can name them, if you want to do some ideas, please tell me, so I know if there is someone going to help with the event! I can't run the event all alone, so every help I can get is welcome.
The "usual" stuff:
- Food: We need some bakers and cooks to prepare some meal, be it crafted or thought up in the form of books, anything is welcome. Since it is a festival, maybe a variety of sweets you would be nice. For example bonbons, lollipops, candied fruits,...
- Drinks: Alcoholic (beer, liquor,...) and non alcoholic (tea, juices, water, ...) it's the same as with food
- Merchants: Anything you want to sell, can be sold. Maybe something related to the festival like symbols of the portal as pendant or anything else you can think of.
- Decoration - Flowers, pillows, ... anything with colors.
Ideas for artists and other creative stuff:
- Lore-telling: Your charakter doesn't have to be the one who writes those stories. He/she could have heard the story from his/her parents when he/she was small...
- Music: Those who plan to perform using game mechanics, please also have a short description about what you are playing and how well you play it, since there are people who disable the game sounds. (That includes me ;) )
- A play wich centers around the theme maybe
- Religious aspekt: Since the gods were the ones behind the portals leading to Yliakum, maybe some praise towards the gods.
- Religious aspekt: Some kind of pageant of the gods.
- Artists: Art about the gods, the portal or anything else.
- Firework?
- Games: If you can think of some games that could be fun (fun for everyone!), please share your idea so we can see if it is possible to do it or not.
Please spread the word of the event IG as well. Since I am rather busy in RL, I can't log very often, so you have to do it for me.
The event will start on friday 13th September at 22:00 GMT+2.

Sounds like a good time. I'm in :)

nice idea

Depending on time and date, I'm in. Let me think about how I can help- and tell me how I can help you most.
Great!

Probably the most with a lore story. I have one prepared, but it'd be nice if there will be more than only one be told there. But any help is appreciated :)
I fixed the time today. It'll be on friday 30th august at 22:00 CET (20:00 GMT). I hope it's a good time for you to come.
-
what a GREAT idea, Jilata et al. i have two characters who were interested in this, so i might be able to help with pre-event publicity. (the timing, sad to say, makes it 4am here.)
-
I really hope Esanor can learn brewing until the celebrations... ;)

if any of you want to run this event at different times as well that would be great and will allow people in different timezones to attend.
-
The start time makes it my lunch time at work, so I can't make it.

Too bad. Maybe you can join later if the event is still running then.
As Eonwind wrote, if there are people willing to keep the event running after we left, because it will be too late for us at some point, feel free to do so.

Hey Jilata, would you please get the Ierafal posted on the Community Events board as soon as you and Sarva can? A few of us are also planning a second Magick Convention, and we don't want to interfere with your event. And as soon as it is fixed (I know you've been discussing times...) I will help advtertize it and talk it up ingame.
Thanks!

Was on holidays last week, so it's a bit late. But here you go:
Date: Friday 30th August at 22:00 GMT +2 (20:00 CET)
History of Holiday: Ierefal is a time of festivals known as the Coming. They represent when the various races arrived in Yliakum.
How it is Celebrated: Merchants will bring wares and sell them, stories will be told. Anything that fits the idea of a festival can be done.
Location: At the gate of East Hydlaa

Thanks for the update Jilata!!!
RR :sorcerer:
-
The day before my birthday, too. Hopefully I can make this one!
-
This looks like a fun event! Count me in.
-
Me too  This looks great. Gimme a poke if you need any more help, Jilata. :flowers:
-
And as always if you need help from me or other team members with decorating or locking down adverts let me/us know.
-
Thanks :) Help is always appreciated.
-
JIlata- RR has a little poem to read at Ierefel- and you should nudge Evirea too for her poetry.
If you send me a book /flyer I can help pass out reminders to people this week. What else do you need?
RR

If I can come to Ierefal, I would be happy to add a booth for the event to explain Klyros Culture. We have Klyros-based sketches (Made by Dannae!!), as well as poetry, weapons, and perhaps lore.
I'm not sure if this fits in with the event or not, so let me know if turns out to be inappropriate for the festival's RP significance.
-
@Roled: Haraun did those flyers which are put up in Hydlaa. Maybe he has some left overs. I think I have more or less a bit from everything I wanted there. Except drinks. I still don't have anyone organizing some. But at least the usual drinks are easy to get. Just needs some running around....
@Mekora: I think it would fit. At least I don't see a reason why it shouldn't fit ;)
-
Cormah will bring teas and juices ;)
-
And I just corrected the bad english in those flyers I distributed. Thanks to Sanrai for pointing it out and many thanks to Sarva for very easy and welcome locking service! :)
(I'll have a look if I'm able to meet you on GMT-evenings, Roled, to hand over some flyers somewhat ICly)
Running to bed an hour to late
Haraun

As my time is hard to plan these days I will try to be there with Freda. She is a tailor, so she will bring clothes. Great idea for an event, and I really hope I can make it \\o//
-
Just a little reminder. It will be tomorrow ;)
-
Jilata, what time will it be? In planeshift.it its Sat Aug 31 2013 00:00:00 GMT+0200 (CEST) and in thread you said on 12th August Friday 30th August at 22:00 GMT +2 (20:00 CET). What is it?
Thanks,
helios21
-
Uhm, forget my note. I didn“t notice CET versus CEST :)
I will see that I can attend. Maybe a bit later even. Lets see.
-
CET (Central European Time) is GMT+1h
CEST (Central European Summer Time) is GMT+2h
I'd prefer Fr. 22:00 CEST = Fr. 20:00 GMT over Sa. 00:00 CEST = Fr. 22:00 GMT; still, in both cases, it is late for Germany.

Why do all these posts always get the time conversions wrong?

The time is:
22:00 GMT +2
If you need another timezone, you have to calculate it yourself :P
-
It's better to provide only one time, generally in GMT (since most people know their timezone in relation to GMT). It's easier than having two conflicting times.
-
Sorry to say it, but the festival was destroyed thanks to some bombs which exploded right at the beginning and hurt almost everyone attending.
Luckily there is an IC reason to redo the event: Ierefal is supposed to go a whole month anyway. At least there is only the month set for the event.
I'll post the date here once it is fixed. I hope there will be many people coming this time again. [And it will be made sure that it can be run smoothly that time.]
-
Sorry to hear that. I hope it didn't do too much damage to your event.
-
I would like to apologize to Jilata for the inconvenience caused, and hope she will be able to pull another festival soon enough that I will attend in quality of a civilised individual. I also promise there won't be any more bombings or disrupting activities the next times, and beckon everyone who thinks jumping in the bandwagon would be cool, to step back and hold it for a while. Not only to let this mellow, but also out of respect.
Again, sorry.
-
Date is already decided:
13th September at 22:00 GMT+2
Place is the same as the last time. I'll also update the first post to the new set date.
-
for everyone willing to run scenes like those happened at Ierefal it would be much better to get in touch beforehand with the organizers and the GMs and find an agreement on how and where (and eventually if) run them for the happiness of both parties and for better enjoyment of everyone attending the event.
[And it will be made sure that it can be run smoothly that time.]
this is more than sure! ;)
so for every bomber trying to attend Ierefal again: beware and behave! ;D
-
That is my birthday, and I have no celebration plans yet on the day, but they might come up. So I am not sure if I can attend or not. :-) Good that we're trying again. \\o//

cool 8) if you decide to come let us know... maybe we can cook a birthday cake for you ;D
-
Tempting indeed.
-
I'll certainly be popping into certain channels to see how I could possibly add to this event and help to set it up again! \\o//
-
Awe gee... sounds like I missed out on the fireworks show. Eh... maybe next time. ::)
-
I'd like to retract my last comment upon hearing more about how things went down. Sorry to hear about this.
-
Well, I have two celebrations scheduled during that weekend. Not sure if I have much time. Depends on where I am.
-
Sounds like it will be a good time. \\o//

Uh huh. Yep.

So I heard you still need an explosive artifact vendor? I'll be there! :P

oh sure thank you! :P

Ierefal should be happening in a few days so everyone should get ready.

Yep. Thanks for reminding the people. It will happen tomorrow (on Friday) 13th September at 22:00 GMT+2
I hope that there'll be many people participating. :)
-
Can I book a kiosk to sell stuff?
-
It probably means to be there in time...
-
Yep. First comes, first serves.... ;)
-
Ierefal is today and as of now you have about 30 minutes to get to it. ;)
-
/me was there, enjoyed it. Until a troll exploded.
-
I want to thank for all the help I've gotten for Ierefal. Thanks to them it was possible to run the event, and hopefully enjoyable for everyone attending. At least it was enjoyable for me.
Thanks for all the merchants who showed up. That many weren't expected, so we were actually a little short on stalls for everyone. I am not even sure if there were more merchants than customers ;)
Sarva, Taya, Sarko, Mordaan, Eonwind, Haraun, Minks, Evirea, Llarnia, Firell, Teeleh, Zakena, Waesed, Ech, Rheos, Kaerli, Eardstapa, Roled, Zazhia, Mekora, Cormah, Gonger
I most possible forgot to name some people. Blame my memory for it and I think there were many people supporting the event without me knowing. So also a big thanks to you guys from me even if I didn't name you.
