Title: bloodedIrishman
Post by: bilbous on September 10, 2013, 06:28:44 am
Account deleted

Whhaaat?

Why do people delete their accounts when they can just abandon them?

Are you still here riding a different sock, perhaps an older one?

I wonder what happened.

He's Irish. Something to do with alcohol.

Oh well at least there wasn't a long teary goodbye thread where he points out all the foibles of us people who terrorized him into rage-quitting that he'd have to sheepishly sweep under the rug on his inevitable return. When you delete your account it kind of screws up the search function.

I hope you find something better if this ain't doing it for you.

I doubt most of the people who bothered to do a leaving thread and come back bother to sweep it under the rug. Or at least in my case I wouldn't. I still stand by what I said to the extent that I can... mine got deleted, so yeah. ;D

Whaaa... Who deletes "leaving"/"returning" threads?

People with mod powers who didn't like them. ;) But that is past now.

I rather guess they didn't like the trolling they provoke.

I like the silent return of the neko.

And I hope that the Irishman will still be with us. I just wonder now how to make appointments for mutual roleplays now that we almost agreed to one...

disjointed thoughts are disjointed.

Derailment is the nature of forum threads. It is the final existential truth of all things open and on the internet. ;D

He may be gone, but it shan't stop LigH wishing him Happy Birthday! once a year.

Why do people delete their accounts when they can just abandon them?

for me, it was an act of security.  no need for an account to be left out there that had full control to do pretty much whatever you wanted to do on these forums, should you have access to it.  I didn't want another incident where a privileged account goes abandoned only to be used later to cause malicious activity, causing those others with the power to undo that activity hours or more of wasted time trying to fix it all.

reasons i made my silent departure aside, i still think it was the right thing to do.  for some reason i still seem to be living and able enough to at least finish the story i started, so at least i still have this account to fulfill that promise i made to that special someone.

i miss my little avatar though :(

~~~
perhaps he has come under similar circumstances, or perhaps he simply cared to take his leave and passively let everyone know he was moving on, with out filling up the forums with yet another leaving/returning/leaving saga of threads.
/shrug
Good riddance.
Dirty troll without any meaningful contributions.
I think the biggest question here, the underlying wonder, is... why did he leave? And most importantly, what did he see, that made him go back?
what I want to know is how do you get your account reinstated after you delete it.
Easy. He ragequit over "his" RP not going the way he liked (the one where Roled was poisoned) and returned because he realized his ragequit was moot.
I'm not judging you. I love soap operas. I just wrote my own, it's called "El Fuego De Mi Amor".  ;D
