Title: What version number should I have?
Post by: Mixo on September 28, 2013, 12:57:15 pm
Hi all,
I just did a fresh install of PlaneShift. The file I downloaded was called Planeshift v-0.5.9.11. This is for Windows 7 32bit. After installing and updating, the launcher says my client version is 0.5.9.12, but when I launch the game it is saying 0.5.9.10 on the login screen and the title bar of the window. Is this normal? I just want to make sure I'm all up to date before I jump back in. Thanks

edit: I downloaded from the official website, German PS mirror.

The little differences are rather usual, unfortunately.

Not every minor version has a binary update, most only add new art or update configurations. The client reports its binary version, but the launcher reports the data version, which may be a little more recent.

The client (psclient.exe) has version 0.5.9.10; the installer of version 0.5.9.11 updated a configuration file to the new game server address, and version 0.5.9.12 also included some new art files. Your installation is up-to-date.
