I think that education could fix a lot of problems bother over there and over here, but it could also make them as dangerous as hitler and his posse. Honestly, I don't think her answer was all that jaw dropping. Unexpected, yes, jawdropping, no. I think the question to ask is whether or not such a gesture would be effective and worth persuing.
I am under the impression that they guys view women as a step below a dog. Would they be more moved is she said, " I would want education for your sons" instead?
I don't know that much about middle eastern politics and culture, so who knows, maybe I'm confusing these folks with some stereotype...
