What do you do when things are the something? When a nothing isn't there? How do you distinguish between things and the things?
-
you come back from the dead, gain a new outlook on life, and go to work on fulfilling your bucket list while you still have the ability to do so, leaving behind your once worries and problems about the parts of life that seemed to be so important once before hand, which only now seem so trivial, and you wonder why you ever got so worked up over those past things.
time marches on. don't fret the small stuffs. everything works itself out in the end.

We walk in the dark, to see better in the light...

That seems an excuse to walk in darkness.

I would argue that things are always something, there is no such thing as nothing, and as for distinguishing between things and the things, I would say it would depend on how I felt at the moment.
How strange is it that people can observe and analyse their own thoughts and motivations, perhaps even attempting to change how they act and react - breaking the cause and effect cycle to which they are bound?

Self-analysis is too self-referential for me. Let neuroscientists do their thang. Lol
