Title: Selective news coverage
Post by: LigH on November 30, 2013, 08:13:04 pm
PDXLAN raises over 14,000 pounds of food / $7,000 for Child's Play (http://www.pdxlan.net/portland/content/view/454/)

No news station in Portland, Oregon, was interested in reporting about gamers who do something good and useful for the society (tmp (http://themetapicture.com/portland-gamers-raise-over-35k-pounds-of-food-but-the-news-says-nothing/)).

But when someone runs amok, computer games are to be blamed first. Truth doesn't sell, only scandals.

I'm not interested in some fat neckbeards saving some of the food they stuff down their throats for the poor. But if some crazed autist runs amok, I'm interested.
