Title: Chat Channel for Finding RP
Post by: Illysia on December 03, 2013, 08:16:33 pm
OK, I told myself I wasn't going to jump in but oh well. I apparently can't be in game, for any reason, and not RP so here goes.

When looking for RP, join the channel channel LFRP. It's short for looking for RP. The command for doing that is [/join LFRP] without the brackets. This command can also be added into your auto executing scripts in the options window so that you auto connect to like gossip.

Since people generally have more gameplay questions and random conversations in gossip, requests for RP can easily get lost in the mix. So rather than trying harder to wave flags in gossip to get RP, RP requests can just be moved to a new channel. Since gossip still exists, LFRP should be left for finding RP and arranging to RP. Other conversations can just happen in gossip like usual.

There already is /join rp since many months (Jilata's idea).
I'm going to join both and see which one will actually be used more by players.

Oh nice. I think the other needs help advertising since I hadn't heard of it. Neither will be used if the word doesn't spread.

Seems to be a general issue: rp/lfrp, dwarves/dwarfs, commonmind ... who knows them? Not everyone reads every thread.

That's a good reason to find more chances to bring it up. If it only comes up once then it might get lost.

I just /joined rp and it wasn't empty. So I'm using that.

too bad we can't just use irc ... >.>

I added rp and lfrp to my autoexec...

Wonder if there is a way to see who is in a channel.. .like a list or who type command but for a given channel only.
