Title: Players online
Post by: Bonifarzia on December 07, 2013, 02:36:16 pm

Because...... I found myself often have a look at Derula's script pages (http://www.hydlaaplaza.com/smf/index.php?topic=36943.0), in particular the sorted plain text list of characters online (http://ps.incertitu.de/chars_list.txt), which unfortunately was not updated for the teamix migration yet.

So I would like to suggest that either point one or two above gets fixed, so point three is still valid ;D

Derula is sometimes hard to catch (maybe via Steam), but we'll try to suggest him an update too.

Just via IRC: Rulascripts are being fixed/updated...

Yes they are updated for teamix, but for some reason I've been getting a few long downtimes and now finally my server can't seem to reach PS server at all. Or maybe the cronjob isn't executed. I don't know. I noticed this recently, but I don't have a lot of time / interest to look into it.

http://darker-than-darkness.tk/who.html (http://darker-than-darkness.tk/who.html) was up to date and sorting correctly last time I checked.

There's quite a few of us who didn't like the unsorted list.

Would be nice if the official one did this anyway, but it seems to go by order of login if I remember correctly.

Looked into my script after all. Apparently, my webhost blocks outgoing UDP traffic now which I used to ping the server before getting the names so I can get a more detailed classification of server online state (http://ps.incertitu.de/serverstatus.html). So I disabled that, and the aforementioned page will only show "online" or "offline" now. Shame. But it works again, now.

Thanks for your feedback.
Good to see derula's list works again. Such small utilities can be very useful.
