I've been thinking, and I have these two ideas that would make the game lot easier for beginners, and even more advanced players.
1) Levrus should do storage. As Lyra says, he has the best alchemy station in the Dome, so it would be awesome if players didn't have to constantly go to and from Hydlaa to get ingredients from storage. Also, Hydlaa has TWO storage people that I know of, and they're both really close together, so maybe they should be spread out a little more.
2) I think there should be Pterosaur travel to the Bronze Doors. I don't have a mount yet, and it's SO annoying going to and from there constantly. I think this is true for a lot of beginners, though. It doesn't even have to be for everyone. Maybe there can be a quest chain that gives you access to this or something.

My personal opinion:
1.I don't think it's really necessary.
2.That is must.

More NPC's should do storage. All NPC's should do storage.
It just depends how much you have to pay per transaction/items stored and how safe your stuff is.
That'll be interesting, imo.

My personal opinion.
1) Not likely to happen.
2) This has been discussed several times including at Dev Q&A's. I suspect it will be implemented in future, possible requiring a quest (or quest chain) to be done first.

Just... remove Willam's storage. Make him a simple banker where you can check your funds. Harnquist is already 24/7 there, so why worry? I understood it back when Harn went to sleep and you only had to rely on the insomniac Willam. But let the man go to bed already, and make Levrus hold storage. Just my two tria.

Better still give Willam a hut near the explorers outpost and have him live there. He could play host to the disgraced engraver. The money changer in East Hydlaa could take up his banking duties. Still isn't it true that all storage people are also bankers if you use the right /command? I seem to recall this from someone's skin. I think it was the WotH skin.

1.) Not necessary.
2.) That would make it too easy. Hard work and determination is the ONLY way to reach goals in life. No shortcuts and lazy attitudes. My two cents.
tid-bit: if the mount option of letting an additional player ride is implemented, this is the only way you are going to travel faster besides actually doing all the quests like everyone else.

Regarding the pterosaur at the Bronze Doors:
Pterosaur at the Eagle Bronze Doors was asked for tons of times but the team decided against it (even if my personal opinion is it wouldn't hurt) because it was meant to be a dangerous place not the next bus stop.
Regarding the topic my personal view is I would like them [tokens] to be rewarded in a repeatable quest. This way with some extra tokens available to role players they maybe used for RP opportunities, i.e. merchant/crafter needs some ingredient from a different city and hire a player to deliver it, he may offer a token instead of trias to make sure the hired guy doesn't vanish into the wild.
However, perhaps the token idea could be used to avoid people just "taking the bus." Have pterosaur flights to the Bronze Doors only be available with a travel token. When an NPC has a quest that requires travel to/from the Bronze Doors, they can give the player a couple tokens. Maybe this could be reserved for "official" business such as Rylour's interviews and not for personal tasks like helping Hinoserri with his eyesight problem.

Making Levrus as a banker doesn't make a lot of RP sense.... convenient yes, but perhaps a bit much. The solution here might be to modify other alchemy stations to improve them so you don't have to visit the crazy, purple-hating hermit in the woods all the time :).
As well, this has been a bane to all players since I've joined (before the age of pterosaurs). Bronze doors is painful to get to and yet it must be visited a lot (thankfully not for skill training anymore!). While giving a sort of "bus" to get out there probably is making it too easy, I'd imagine RP-wise there would be a pterosaur flight path there to fly in supplies, being a vital military base and all that. I like the idea of getting tokens that let you fly out there like in the previous post... perhaps some of the guards or Ostarchy officials could get repeatable quests (probably on timers) where doing a quest for them gives you tokens to fly there too. Alternatively, perhaps doing some repeatable quests while *at* the bronze doors fortress could earn you these tokens, meaning you were already there. The return-trip would also need to be dealt with too.

Now that I think about it, I agree with you about Levrus doing storage. As for Pterosaur travel to the bronze doors, what if you had to get special tokens or complete a guards quest chain to get there, and anyone can return. That kind of makes RP sense because the soldiers need a way to go to towns and stuff occasionally.
