Title: Salves for Sore Hands
Post by: Demagul Riwe on December 09, 2014, 06:08:09 pm
So for the quest "Salves for Sore Hands", you need to buy a Vial of Healing Salve from Aleena. I think this quest would make more sense if you could make it, or if the required item was changed to a salve that you can make. Thoughts?

Maybe have player made salve as an alternative as it is a quest you can get early on or at least it used to be. We wouldn't want to keep new players from progressing quickly. :)

Seeing as it is repeatable it could have escalating requirements.

I like it!  It could start out with some sort of poultice, I guess, and work up to gobo salves.

Sure, that's something that can be expanded on.  Problem is, right now, there's not all that much to herbal.  And the poultices and salves are at higher levels.  At some point herbal might be expanded a little.  We might revisit this at that time.

Perhaps lower level salves and ointments can be worked into the shindrok community project.

Seeing as he has respect for the herbalist, the requests could start with the quest item salve and move into various teas and whatnot. While the poultices and salves are at higher levels of current herbal practice none of them are very high relative to possible levels.

Still there isn't any particular rush to implement this.
