Title: Of Rats and Arts
Post by: LigH on March 01, 2015, 12:24:31 am
Who let the rats out? — Who, who, who, who?

Miss Opal was a bit clumsy and allowed her trained midget rats to escape from the Amdeneir Theatre. The audience made three groups and roamed the town to find them and get them back. Eventually, the show could be presented and amazed the audience.

Overall, it was a funny event, even though the instructions were not totally clear to me (it should have pointed out clearer that a reward is counted exactly when a found rat is grabbed). Also it may have been better to ensure that the groups were about equal in size.

Agreed! First set up the groups, then explain the rules, then start the real event. But everybody had fun, which of course is what matters most.
And as I said before - who would let the chance go by to call a GM a rat without getting into trouble?
So thanks a lot for one more fun event!

It was fun, thanks you dirty rats!   :whistling:

RR was not his usually bubbly self  cause one of those vermin BIT him  >:( !!! Made him bleed!   RR may DIE from the bubonic plague  :@#\ , but hey, it was fun to incur the disease . [RR has commissioned a hit on the rat called Silver, just sayin...] I agree with Gonger- CHAOS reigned at first but once we got going it was grand, and the performance, well, was second to none. ::|

Thanks to our 'team'- the Finest Rat Artists Detainers of the Dome, the FRADs!
Thanks GMs and the player who wrote the event, now where's the pie, and why is there carbon scattered all over Amdeneir?
 :woot:

Probably surveying marks. Hopefully. What if they are "rogue tines"? (Disclaimer: If Google Translate is correct with this term...) — Hoboglyphs (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/hoboglyph) (hobo signs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hobo#Hobo_signs_.28symbols.29))

This was actually my first actual event that I went to, and I had a great time! I loved the team aspect to it! It's like a gym class where people WANT me on their team, and the game was actually fun. So actually, it was nothing like gym class, which makes it even better! I think the rules could have been a little more clear towards the beginning, but we all figured it out eventually, I think. Other than that, I have no complaints. Great job! ;D

...midget rats...
I find that term very offensive.

But it looked like the recommended term in a dictionary.

Instead of criticizing the non-native speaker, how about a suggestion for improvement?

Here're suggestions:
-native american rats
-strongly pigmented rats
-retarded rats
I was actually kidding about the midget term ;D but I guess sarcasm is lost on some :P

Or you overestimate your talent for sarcasm. I am still not sure how serious you were about what you said in the first Charlie thread.

Geez, stop derailing the thread. The event was fun!

Perhaps we should start using the irony mark (⸮) at the end of the sentence, or the sarcastrophe marks (^) around sarcastic text.  Here's hoping those display correctly.

Anyways, I loved the event.  One of the GMs noted the different ways we tried to capture the little critters.  Other than enticing with food/flowers and making friends with them, what did people do?  Were there a lot of enki-pounces?

Well Roled cast Magic Sleep on one then just scooped it up while it snoozed. He tried to grab one's tail but it bit him so ....  >:(

But it was fun!

Gonger poured beer on himself, hoping to attract rats. But it did not really help, apparently those rats were more into sweets.

So you are allowed to derail the thread, but others are not? I will stop this "discussion" now, before the level gets even lower.
