Title: I have been slighted! [Crafting bug]
Post by: MishkaL1138 on July 28, 2017, 07:54:40 pm: I was making some armor, and I messed up the quantities for a piece - took 4 steel ingots instead of 3, made a set of steel plates... dangit.

So I plop them back in the forge, this should get me my ingots back, etc. So in total I crafted 16 pieces of that (I wasn't paying attention), and the expected yield would've been 64 ingots - I only got 32. WHAT!!

I go to my book, read it frantically... "Hammer Red hot set of steel plates into 2 steel ingots." Then I go to ingots "Shape 4 heated steel ingots into set of steel plates."

I want my ingots back. All 32 of them.

Shaping 4 heated steel ingots into a set of steel plates OR Shaping 2 heated steel ingots into a set of steel pieces, then heating it and shaping it into a set of steel plates.

You'll easily understand why it's better that hammering a red hot set of steel plates gives you only 2 steel ingots rather than 4. That doesn't explain why there are two ways to make these and one requires twice less base material, though...
