well simply learn how to play the game yourself, dont ask others how to do everything. theres newbies and noobs... everyone starts out as a newbie... but the second u start buggin people because ur to lazy to get someting or learn something, then ur a NOOOOOOOB :)

One is not a n00b if they dont present themselves as a n00b.Also if you of what you speak before speaking it.
You are a n00b if you make posts asking what a noob is or if you use the term n00b in game some people do this to others even at high lvls.
Having high levels does not make you a non noob it helps a bit though.
Ive seen people in different game worlds with high levels roleplaying games and they run around shouting noobie and such when they themselves act more like noobs than the person there refering too.

Noobie newb was meant to help newr people to rpgs lately all ive seen is it be used to bash others with.

i know what a noob is, i play alot of other online RPG\'s. My main question is, How are some people conquerer\'s and what not, when the game isnt even out yet? Is it like your a member of the team? Or what?

I\'m sorry a ask soo many questions but im just curious ;)

It\'s just a ranking based on the number of posts you\'ve made and whether you are a developer or a user. Click on the stars under peoples ranks for more info.

Or look here: Rankings (http://www.planeshift3d.com/forum/misc2.php?action=faq&page=1&boardid=1&styleid=2#rank)

Newbism is not about time, its a state of mind.

The word \"newbie\" should not be banned, it simply refers to new players. The rest should all be tho.
Newbie means new player, like someone who\'s just joined the game. Noob, n00b, n00bie and noobie refer to people who do stupid things, like begging hi lvls to give them money or good weapons etc. So a low-lvl player is not necessarily a n00b, he may be a newbie, and hi lvl guys COULD be referred to as n00bs.

BTW, to those who dont know, the planeshift slang for \"newbie\" is \"Peanut\" :))

I think you are in danger of getting such a label, posting nearly 100 times in a week. It\'s not the amount that\'s bad, it just seems with helpful comments such as \'huh\', \'yey\', \'lol\', etc, often in multiple posts, that you are just trying to further increase your post count. I\'m sorry, but that is how it appears from the outside :(

Like Promatt said newbism has become a state of mind, a person can only post 5 times with thoughtful, useful comments and be less of a newbie when than someone posting 1000 posts of largely unnecessary spam. The amont of posts doesn\'t stop you from being a newbie.

it also appears that many people edit there posts for a higher count, but it doesnt really matter, cuz in game hlaf the people wont give a crap how many times u posted on teh forums, it doesnt make ya a better player taht way :)

i think its rather sad if u have a large number of posts, unless ur a person who does the roleplaying stuff.

anyway it wont change anything if u ban words like noob and stuff. people will just come up with worse things to say. there are always ways around it anyway..
n0ob no0b, /\\/oob. or they will just break it apart and stuff. people who like to run around saying stuff like that ALWAYS find a way.

Editing increases your post count? That\'s not right is it? If that\'s the case no wonder mine got so high, I have corrected my spelling mistakes and silly stuff like that in the past, oops ;) .

I\'m going to test it.

EDIT: Test

EDIT2: The edits have no effect whatsoever on number of posts. Dammit, I have no excuse, I\'m as sad as I look from my post count ;(

Probably the worst thing you could possibly be called is a beggar - - - and to my knowledge that title is only given if earned, as it makes no sense otherwise.  In Everquest, I steadfastly labored to learn the game, to accumulate my wealth (which still isn\'t much at level 11, but it seemed to take forever).  Anyway, whenever I\'d go back to my home city of Halas, I\'d be assaulted by all many of the younger folks, who wanted either to group with me, when I was clearly much higher level than they, or they wanted me to give them weapons, armor, and money.  It was funny, when I was turned down a few times in the weapon department, because what I offered wasn\'t good enough - shocking considering it was often identical to what I was using at 10 levels higher.... do not act like this.  Its pretty much why I stopped helping new people all together in that game.  The sheer level of ingratiousness from those you do help, and the blatant begging and cajoling from others....ick.  How can those people have any self respect?

(it was kinda funny, but when I got really angry at the game, you know, from dying and it eating my body, id end up using a rusty dagger alot  - - - I guess the idea of being slowly killed with a short blunt rusting implement sounded painful)

?(  ?(  ?(

SPAM! heh

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

First of all what the ****?
Second n00b is used too often and for the wrong reasons.  People in D2 and RS use the term for people higher lv then they.  I think that just F*ckin stupid.  That is all.

BTW: I think \"cabbage\" is the word for n00b in RS
