better game controls would be great. PLz change the running and chat system and make running default instead of walking
-
well, hopefully they had already planned on all this, question is, when will it make it into the game, the next release isn\'t due out until november, but that was a tentative remark made by one of the devs, it might not be accurate. who can say whether these ideas will make it into the next release? I\'m just happy combat will be in it, course I\'ll prolly get slaughtered many many times, but that\'s beside the point

running? ...just press \"r\" ;) ..oh, and RTFM :P
-
Running as defualt looks unrealistic when everybody runs for their lives just to move aside 2 steps..
Patience my friend,, patience (totally misspelled but whatta heck..)
-
if anything, they should give players the opportunity to set run as default, rather than just setting it to default run, I would leave it like it is unless I was travelling a long way, I can get across town walking.
-
Perhaps just a quickbutton, R for example.
Oh, and btw, you can edit your controls in your PS directory.
-
i grew totally accustomed to the \"r\" button ...it takes a day or two to get used to it, but then it rules ...or you could just hack the config file :]
-
Walking is too slow. How about a sort of jog at default, and the running-for-life and the casual walking at default?
And the chat controls need to be fixed so that it\'s accessible when you\'re moving and there\'s stuff going on. Having to move over and click the textbox, and giving up motion, to chat, is a problem.

hehhe i wanna binds :P binds rules :) one key des evrthing what you bind to it ^_^ me wanna :D
-
I\'ve heard some rumors of a small patch... perhaps they will implement this feature...
and as Caldazar says you can edit the controls in the PS directory
-
possibly u could bind \'run\' to the movment controls, to autorun
-
once again:
r -> autorun
shift + cursor keys -> run into that direction
AFAIR you can (re)bind the keys in the config file
-
Personally, I believe running should be given \'inertia\'.. that is, you press the assigned key, and the player slowly ramps up to \"running speed\" at which it retains a steady velocity, until the runkey is pressed again at which point the player slowly decelarates. During the ramping up and deceleration times the player cannot stop.. this would be more realistic since players would think twice about running extremly short distances and thus walk instead. (Example: how MAX\'s run in planetside. I\'ve always liked this idea :)
