So far, yes. There\'s no combat system in the current release though, so I can\'t give you an answer for that.

Not yet. Just explore, chat and crystal collecting. You can also buy a few items- check out http://planeshift.fragnetics.com/merchant/merchant.html

It takes me 7 seconds to type that URL, I\'ve had so much practice ingame you wouldn\'t believe. lol! :D [Edit: God, doesn\'t that sound sad!?]

Keep an eye on the Planeshift website for news posts. They\'ll tell you when something big (such as a new release) is being announced. Right now the word is that Crystal Blue (the newest version) should be with us some time in December.
