Hi all,
well, i downloaded the client, installed it, tested it, and it does great what it does. Now i\'d like to know when more features will be added - i\'m not asking when the game will be complete, i\'m asking when we will have monsters, PvP, items, ANYTHING :-/
The graphics are nice, the handling is ok, but you can\'t really call \"collect 1000 crystals to earn a mug\" gameplay (i found 1 crystal in the hour it took me to explore the whole dungeon, BTW).
Is there some roadmap - what features will be implemented, and when ?

Well first off, Welcome to PlaneShift. :)
The next release will have fighting in it among many other nice new features. It will be called Crystal Blue and rumors have it that it will be out in december. (dont believe rumors tho ;) )
There is currently not an official map, but it is more fun to explore without a map anyway. Go out and explore.

Sorry if i didn\'t express myself clearly - with \"roadmap\" i didn\'t mean a map of the game levels, but a \"roadmap\" as it is for example used for processors, e.g. a release plan with milestones (time marks for features). Virtual example:
12/03 Crystal Blue
Fighting (PvP)
Item transfer
06/04 Magic
09/04 Monsters: Rats and slimes
12/04 Other skills finally working
04/05 detailed Explorable outside area
etc...
I hope with such a professional developer team (and they look pretty professional both from the \"job\" offers and from their results), they HAVE a release plan ;)

There wont be any PvP, or atleast it will be very limited. The devs havent announced anything yet, except for a few new races, fighting, items and perhaps grouping.

Yes,
we have a roadmap of planned features, but it\'s not available to the public.
The reason for not being public is that we can\'t commit to features before we really delve into their implementation. Also want to have the option to change it without have people complain about changes. Being a free project, it\'s not easy to keep strictly in line with the roadmap, so some features may be skipped or kept for later depending on a number of factors. Those factors include mainly the Crystal Space improvements, availability of developers and problems encountered.
What we can say is that our roadmap has in it all the feature a real game needs, like fight, magic, quests, etc...
The next thing we want to have (at least in a preliminary state) is surely combat.

Besides, isn\'t it fun to discover new surprise features when it is out instead of reading about them for months and having them be old hat by then? :-)

Roadmaps, shroadmaps phhh. I know the whole game by heart already, and I\'ve only been playing for one day lol.

For the release, vengeance confirmed yesterday on the server it would be (latest) on January.
