Title: TROUBLE INSTALLING :(

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO DOWNLOAD THIS AND I DOWNLOADED ALL FIVE BUT WHEN I TRY THE REASSEMBLING THING THEN IT JUST SAYS: copy /b PSV0.2.010.Part1 + PSV0.2.010.Part2 + PSV0.2.010.Part3 + PSV0.2.010.Part4 + PSV0.2.010.Part5 PlaneShiftV0.2.010.exe

PLEASE HELP ME

Post by: Unitoo on July 17, 2003, 08:26:50 am: I had the same problem today... I\'m not sure if you have the same problem as I do though. The solution was actually quite simple. There was another \".Part1.\" after a \".Part1\" so I deleted the redundent one. After doing it for all 5 parts, I ran the dos program and it created an .exe file. Hope it helps. ^^

What i really need to know is where is this \"run_me_first.bat\"file!!?!? please PLEASE help me...

1) Download from the list below the 5 Parts and the Reassembler.
2) Place all files in the same dir
3) Double-click on run_me_first.bat
4) Launch PSV0.2.010.exe

wat doesa it mean to put them in the same dir??????

Post by: Sabrewulf on July 17, 2003, 10:05:53 pm: ok u have to save those to disk in the same place for instance c:/windows/desktop. you cant open as soon as u download it u need to save the files together all the parts and the reassembler. oh and try usin the secondary sites as itll load directly from the site as opposed to having to choose a mirror site.

Post by: Sabrewulf on July 17, 2003, 10:45:22 pm: Ok i think i found out what the problem is maybe.i get the same thing u did BUT the thing is i tried to assemble from the version i saved to a CD...it doesnt work right...U need to save it to your harddrive and do it.If u saved it on a floppy or cd it doesnt seem to work..which i just found out by trying to reassemble.Laso it is a MSDOS batch file and it will open the dos prompt to execute after it says /b copy part 1 blah blah blah u have to hit enter if it doesnt start automatically.
