Finally!
No more worrying about dropping crystals on the floor in order to transfer them to a friend!
Here\'s how to trade. Type this into the chat box:
/buddy give playername itemname amount
For example,
/buddy give Mogura diamond_crystal 10 (I wish ;))
Please note NOT to name items with spaces. Things like ruby_crystal works, but ruby crystal will not. You can also give weapons to friends.
In order to avoid confusion, de-equip any item you\'re about to give away, otherwise you\'ll be seen as still holding that weapon (but you won\'t actually have it). When you give a weapon, you may still see it in your inventory. Pick up/put it down again and the change will register.
Have fun with this new feature, coding courtesy of CadRipper and implementation courtesy of Vengeance. Thank you guys!! :)

Thanks Moogie :)
Maybe one or two more details :
- the person you give it to doesn\'t need to be online, though he will get a message if he/she is;
- amount is optional, the default amount being 1;
- you can use ruby, emerald or diamond, it works too, no need for the crystal word. It also works for mug, and weapons like galkard and so on (but who would give such an item ? ;) )
- the usual /buddy still works normally, it won\'t give your stuff away !
Have fun !

Thanks Cad *worships* :D

I could see good use for the \"give \". Passing it from one of your accounts to another if you have more than one :)
-
is there going to be a nice gui for that in new version?
or still this hard process?
-
Crystal Blue will have a completely revamped GUI interface.

There is apparently a concern about trading with the new command. The \"problem\" is that you can give something but not exchange goods. A little like online stores btw ;)
So some people might be afraid to give first (let\'s say 280 rubies) before receiving the item in return (a 2nd hand mug - half empty). What if the vendor just runs away with the rubies and gives nothing in return ?
I wouldn\'t be really concerned by this, no one will want to get a bad reputation, unless he uses an alias character created for this purpose only.
But anyway for those who cares about this, the best is to ask a 3rd person to help them as third party. Everyone gives his stuff to the 3rd person, who then gives back the items.
-
And if that 3rd person just runs away? Trading should be more secure and more easy to accomplish. But I guess this is the dark age system :).
PS:I know it\'s only a matter of time till a good trade system will be available.

We could always take the current give command back out, if people are unhappy with it...

Nonononono *slaps Venge\'s hand*. You leave that in, sonny :)
I know at least a dozen players who can be totally trusted to be third parties in any trades. Too bad there is no merchant guild (that I know of) who could handle such secure transactions...
If you want to trade and are unsure about the person you are trading to, just ask the regulars like Havena, Giladrial, Daikan, Reddew, Katerin, Dagger, Moogie, Luze, Gramdal, Draklar... (you get the picture) to act as impartial third patries. Their standing in the community is your guarantee they will ensure a fair trade.
The other option is to simply trust the people you trade with (I prefer this) but it doesn\'t always work. But that is the way life is :)

Do not give your items to me...I will steal them (just a fair warning :P )
