Post by: Huginn the crow on July 19, 2003, 03:41:32 am
So, you want to be a member of the math guild?
Just say it, so we can start the guild and, eventualy, rule this plane

Perhaps you should tell people a little what it\'s about?

Even though I probably know about a fourth of a percent of what you know, count me hlaf in. Are there any special requirements to join, or can anyone just join? As in, can a three year old who knows how to do addition and subtraction but not much helse join (that mysteriously knows how to use a computer)?

Let\'s do a very symple problem. If there are 5 students and 3 chairs, how many diferent ways of sitting the students are?
Send me the answer to my mail: \"ghost737@hotmail.com\"

For the first chair, you have a choice of 5 students, for the second chair a choice of 4 and for the third chair a choice of 3. ;)
5*4*3 = 60
Now think one up with some more beef. :P

Btw, is it just me, or does a math guild sound kind of... boring?

Not for me, but I\'m studing math, so probably my opinion doesn\'t count.
Other problems are in the other post that I made (Math rules!).

Does not have to be boring if math is applied, look at the last post in this thread (http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=4699&boardid=18&sid=dfcac12b3f92cab020c5fd84e54b59f6&page=2) Skizzik
