Title: Your favourite console
Post by: Fanomatic2000 on July 19, 2003, 09:29:24 am: I was just wondering what\'s you favourite console (X-box, PS2, GC) and why.

Mine?
Gamecube, since it\'s the only \"real\" console according to me (it has a comfortable joypad, is very mobile, and has unique games) and I hate Sony and its PS (even if I\'m a FF fan and therefore must own one in order to play FF IX, X and XII ;( )
XBOX feels a little unnecessary if you own a PC, since PC are so much better and includes a lot of goodies, like a lot of multimedia and free stuff (for example this going-to-be-great game :) )

Get a playstation if you want games with crappy graphics that are fun for a week then you\'ve beat them. Get a xbox if you want.... games with animated girls in bikinis playing volleyball.

Gamecube all the way!

x-box has some cool games. even though i haven\'t played, i\'ve seen others playin halo, and it looked pretty good to me. not every comp can take those graphics.

Obviously the GC is the king. Although I am sort of liking SexBox thinking of DOAVX. *drools*

Perhaps you could look down a little bit on this forum and see my console thread. It has a lot of my reasons for my Ninfatuation. ;) I will, of course, post it all again.

I suggest you look at this (http://www.nintendo.com/systems/gcn/specifications.jsp), and then you take a look at this (http://uk.playstation.com/hardware/ps2techspec.jhtml). Then you tell me which one you believe is the best, based on those specifications.

X-box is also the only console to have multiplayer games up to 64players and I do enjoy a good multiplayer game and X-Box is the best lan console

and I have not played any gamecube before.

btw, i also mixed up the graphics with dreamcast, I forgot for a sec that gamecube is the new one as well. Gamecube graphics are definately out there.

You da man, AendarCallenlasse. You finally found the proper way to insult other consoles. I want all of them too, though it chafes me that I am considering an Xbox. *shudders*

It was not my choice, really, but when you get the offer to either spend my $60 on a game or give my $60 to my dad and get an Xbox...well, you can see how he forced my hand.

Actually I got Halo with it so I\'m a happy camper right now. :)

I hate campers come out and fight in the open like a real man (or a stupid one) :D but seriously if you play multiplayer Halo and you play blood gulch with all veichles steal all the veichles and put them up on the big hill at one end of the map and sit up there with a sniper or a rocket launcher your freinds get heaps pissed at you but its heaps funny :]

Post by: Terro on July 29, 2003, 02:14:37 pm: id have to go with xbox... i mean i owned a ps2 for a long while and it was great but i switched to xbox because i was pretty much talk into it and im glad i was... im really looking forward to game that coming out for it called true fantasy online... totaly online rpg using the xbox life stuff so that will be awesome to talk to others as i play an rpg... gamecube is junk since the games are junk... get a gamecube if you want to be a water squirting mario that tries to get rid of all the mud in the game... or a ghost hunting luigi with a vaccum cleaner... ps2 is good though since it has a HUGE selection of games to play though most of them arent all that great... well thats my 2 cents :P

Well you CAN play it as a console. I love my SNES but hey, they don\'t make SNES games for the SNES anymore, they make em\' for GBA now.

If I did have to pick a console though, I really want a GameCube. Until that happens though, I (sort of) have a PS2 already which I use more to play PS1 games instead of PS2 games. Why? Aside from the fact PS1 has way more kick arse games than PS2, smooth texture-mapping rules!

But I agree with the Game Boy advance, it\'s the only console on which you can still play good 2D platformers and shoot\'em up (and a few RPGs too, but most of them won\'t come out in europe :\'( )

May get an eggbox, I mean xbox ( why the \'x\'? :P ) in the future as they are quite beasty monsters, will have to wait until I create the PC of my dreams though, mmmm

and i agree with Tok\'ra commodor 64 rules GO DEVELOP SOME GAMES FOR THAT PEOPLE.
