Title: Crystals

I have a few comments and questions on Crystals and the different \"ways\" or Arcane Lores of magic you can learn.

I got this from the an FFXI site

I\'m not saying its supposed to be exactly like this but I just want to comment that is the different magic going to follow somewhat in this same concept? Keyword is somewhat I didn\'t say exactly. Also like would the crystals have different names like ruby would be fire, onyx would be darkness/evil, diamond be holy, and are these ideas parallel already to the magic already stated in the in game character/avatar selection and setup?
Also would crystals give elemental abilites to weapons. For instance if a smith made a steel sword but then a jewelry added a ruby crystal to the handle of the sword, would that give the steel sword fire elemental attack?

Well right now the crystals are just currency, and in the future all I know is they\'ll be Kran food...

I wouldn\'t say they were proper \'food\', as in, crunching up crystals and swallowing them... perhaps the Kran gain the nutrients in some other way. *shrug* But I could be wrong.

maybe crystals could be used by Krans like charms in diablo 2 - with passive bonuses when added to their inventory - only minor bonuses of course but there are a number of roleplayable reason why this could be said to be true - maybe the Krans are letting them grow on their [rock] skin and gaining power from them...
