Title: About how many players in this game?
Post by: schism on July 20, 2003, 07:13:32 am
Just asking a Q real quick before I DL the stuff and start playing. About how many people are online on a regular basis and is the population growing at all?
Thanks.

Online, about 10-20, I would assume. And yes, it\'s growing, but it\'s in Alpha stages. Just get the game and see, unless you are on 56k, in which case, I would wait and same your time.

how many people usually show to the \'stress testing\' periods?  Why dont we make a \'SUPER STRESS TEST\' where we assign a day as well as an hour so EVERYONE goes on?

I think that shows how we could benift from a set day for a stress test - how many registered users are there?  Imagine if just 1/3 of the registerd users showed up - that should be phenomenal for data collection since statistically the more test subjects the better the data

1/3 Of the registered users!?!?!?  That would be over 20k people, which I gurantee the server won\'t take.  But that\'s not the case since out of the accounts registered 99% are inactive, I think the absolute best you could hope for would be 100 people, given that\'s pry about the amount of regulars plus a few newbs are always poppin\' in.

hehe, many of the \'registered users\' are probably duplicates of the same person though - and besides I was just throwing out a number - the idea however is sound
