For those of you who don\'t know and were wondering... \"thy\" and \"thine\" are Old English for \"your\". Thy is used before a consonant sound (like \"thy will be done\"), and Thine is used before a voewl sound (\"Thine armies shalt never defeat me.\") People often confuse the two because they think they\'re the same and don\'t know how to use them correctly.
Just an FYI, BTW: \"Thee\" is objective (\"I shalt spill thine intestines upon the ground and hang thee with them.\"), and \"thou\" is subjective (\"Thou art a fool and a lackwit.\")
And this concludes your lesson on Old English 101. There will not be a test on this, because nobody would take it anyway lol.

a clan is a guild, its just another term for one, While GM\'s or mods as you call them will around, we will be only dealing with bug\'s and complaints of harrasments and other things with in that area. We wont be watching Pkers, unless they go over board and become griefers... and Krans aint stupid... there just more suited to fighting, you dont act as guardians for the magicical gifts, the glyphs of magic that Talad created for numerouse centuries with out learning a thing or two about what it is your guarding ^^.

sorry bigfoot, but ya know, im not gonna let him diss my guild, and, i really dont think thats its roleplayish calling an elf a fairy, i mean comon, i even posted about likeing his enthuiasim and he got all over me about it, like i was making fun of him. and i dont take that crap lightly. and this is for zaylik only:
there is a barrier between reallife and role playing, and when u start getting onto one person and not a group, your messing with real life, i dont care if you diss guilds in general, but NEVER MAKE FUN OF THE CHARMED KNIGHTS AGAIN. (OOC: Well I had a long post made and was quite the telling. Too bad it took me so long to write cause it caused that log in error forcing me to hit the back button and loosing the entire thing. So I\'ll have to give a real short version of what it was I had said. It was simply that any power, be it light, dark, good, or evil, it deserves respect. To not do so would be foolish. Other than that I mentioned that my character bows before this Brotherhood in humility and respect but know one thing. Though I show respect and admiration, bring an ill hand to the Kendaro and you shall find that hand broken inch by inch and the Kendaro woln\'t stop at just the hand. The Kendaro will continue up the arm and to the body, breaking everything as the Kendaro goes along. The last thing I ended the post with was a simple statement. That even the darkest of warriors know that words come light and actions cover them ten fold. Let people say all they want cause it will do no harm. It is when they raise arms against you should you unleash your dark powers. there is no honor in squables of the words. You of all people should know this cause i sense great things within you. Like the Kendaro, you can say all you wish but raise a hand to him and you will find yourself having a real bad day. I don\'t bother with the banterings of others. You have brought a dark soul to this game and I aplaud it. It is refreshing to see as it stands out in greatness above the would be and wanna be\'s. I agree with the evil one. Real life is real life, and roleplay is roleplay, and nary the twain shall meet. The problem is that some people have trouble distinguishing the two, and that will lead to problems down the road (read: in game). Zaylik is insulting the Charmed Knights and elves in general IN CHARACTER. Those are ZAYLIK\'S words, not the words of the guy who plays Zaylik, and I certainly hope some of you see this. He is not, IMO, some freak who sniffs paint thinner and listens to death metal (at least I hope he\'s not...). He is someone with an active imagination, some decent writing skills, and the inclination to have some fun while we\'re all waiting for the demo to come out by ROLEPLAYING. Yes, roleplaying - you know, that\'s where you assume the persona of a character (good OR evil...) and act as that character would. I hate to sound like an ass, but some of you still seem to be having trouble with this concept. Not that I\'m saying that we should all be in character here, but you guys should be able to differentiate between someone who\'s playacting and someone who\'s truly just sniffing paint thinner.
I for one think that we need truly evil guys like Wolfman, Montenegro, Khemri, and Zaylik. I do NOT want to play one of those other games (we all know the ones) where everyone just goes around and trains endlessly toward a goal that\'s hardly worth obtaining. Instead of flaming this guy, try a little playacting of your own. What would Cyonamie the character say? How would Ninkwi (who is also evil, I might add) react to this potential threat to his guild\'s goals (whatever they may be)? It\'s going to be awhile until the demo comes out, and if we get together and have some fun beforehand, we\'ll already have some sort of base for things in the game. We won\'t be \"starting cold\" - that is, having to build everything from scratch in the game. We\'ll already have some sort of history, guilds and alliances and plans, that will make it seem like we\'re emerging into a living, breathing world, instead of some blank book that we must fill.

A knock resounds upon your door. A Messenger calls from without, sliding a slim encased tube into your dwelling. It falls upon your floor with a dim *thud*.
Then as you watch in amazement it opens. Brilliant light, in a array of colors, streams the air creating a semblence of one cloaked in crimson with chalky skin.
A voice comes from the apparation:
\"Behold I am Father Zaylik, of the Crimson Brotherhood. As you are most likely an unbeliever, my words may make little sense to you. Though they appear in your language this is merely a conduit a recepticle, so that The Crimson Brotherhood may spread the truth.\"
The voice pauses then continues:
\"It is my belief that those not of the brotherhood are lost in thier own hearts and lack traits such as Duty, Honor, and Loyality, that I hold to be truth.
In this Hollow world, Yliakum, there be few who I deem worthy! I believe in life and that everyone has a station be it individuals or races, tribes or clans. So in this matter guilds are formed.
Some, in honor, rise above their station, being granted certain dues for the honor they possess.
Our ways for the most part are simple concerning our outer circles. Those of little or no stature give honor to themselves and respect to there greaters by bowing.
Those that are too proud to bow shall be broken and made to kneel in truth. They that are too proud to bow, are weak in spirit.
Just as we protect the weak, and they care for us with their servitude, so do we work on behalf of the weak of spirit.
This is our way of life and comes from our historians. We dont expect you to understand as you are unclean to us.
Before our army decends upon your dwellings and lodgings, simple brothers shall come to instruct you in our ways.
As the Father of the Brotherhood, I implore you at this time to see the error of your lives.
For the time will come when all shall be as one, and the Crimson Brotherhood shall prevail across the Hollow Realm. There shall be no escape from our grasp.
I have stated before there be only two choices.
Bow or Kneel
I must clarify this statement.
Only in life will you have these two options .
With that the apparation flickers as the light fades away.
Just as it is almost gone you here one final voice.
In death you have no choices.

(ooc: If you can not recognize roleplaying when you see it then you probably need a few lessons. Here are a couple of tips to help you recognize when someone is roleplaying:
1: Usually, but not always, when someone is roleplaying, they use a dialect (other form of speach) to communicate to others in the game.
ie:
ya/ye = you
tanks = thanks
da = the
etc....
these are forms of accents used
2: roleplaying means your playing a personna other than yourself. Henceforth a character roleplaying would say something like:
\"And by da way, tanks fer da extra hexas i got while ya was messin arround wit dat apperatin.\"
instead of
\"and by the way, thank you for the extra money i recieved while you were fighting with the illusion.\"
By doing this, you give your character some character, creating a person who is interesting and has a life of its own. Most people I have come accross that roleplay, do it to escape their dreary, mundane lives and want to play a character that they can not express in r/l.
This game is in a fantasy setting, not a sci-fi setting or a real life setting, therefore the characters here will have a tendency to use different dialects (aspects of language) and have differenct characteristics than people and characters in non-fantasy rpg\'s.

BTW, you can roleplay with out confusing people by doing accents

I like Jandryl\'s style, I think it adds colour and depth to his character and the boards.
Hats off to his efforts I say, it must take a lot of concentration to maintain character like some people do on these boards - instead of being lazy like me and not changing style much at all ;)

Sorry, but your \"dialect\" sounds more like gibberish. It\'s not much of a dialect. I do know how to roleplay, as I have written several role playing games.
