Whats with the graphics. Looks like you got a low polygon count. Why dont you increase it?

Old news from site:
- The models, animations and textures are now VERY simple. That will enable us to test the performance of the game and then make proper models with higher polycount. That means that in the future releases you will see better models, don\'t be fooled by the ones in the demo.
This was meant for the Atomic Blue release though. I do not know if this applies to Molecular Blue aswell, but it seems logical to assume so.

well I guess so, but look on the flash intro, you see for example the temple of laanx rendered, with birds flying around it ; man how beautifull it looks like morrowind ; it is a rendering though but i\'m sure they\'ll swith to better graphics as soon as the basics system are ok ; you know when I do a samll program, the last thing a do is the graphic interface ; I assume they act the same ; graphics are finally superficial during a developpement

It would be kind of silly to put a lot of work into complicated models before the rendered is closer to being done. Data formats and stuff can change pretty often in projects like this. Also, I think there are a lot of optimizations left to be done before the game is finished; MB doesn\'t run really smoothly on a lot of machines as it is. Finally, remember that Planeshift is built on top of the Crystal Space (http://crystal.sourceforge.net/drupal/) 3D game development library. That is a very active project, and all the improvements made to it will carry over more-or-less directly to PS.
So don\'t worry about the graphics; I think the scenery looks pretty good already (try running it at 1280x1024 or higher if you have the hardware), and it\'s still just at the pre-alpha stage. They\'ll be even better when the actual game is ready to start.

What are you guys talking about?
MB does NOT have low polycount.
Sure the grafix will look better when the new renderer comes out becouse of bumpmapping, lightning per pixel etc. but for all I know the models that are used ingame is here to stay and there is nothing wrong with them.

Just remeber this. In it\'s current state high-poly graphics would make PS a slideshow. If you think they\'re too low-poly you are free to make your own.
