Title: The lowest you can go in sys stats
Post by: Saphire on August 08, 2003, 09:46:35 pm
Just HOW low in system stats could you be to play PS reasonably? im talking like 10 fps here.

I have:

500Mhz
256MB RAM
GeForce 2 MX
DSL internet connection
Win XP (Shiver)

How many FPS could i possibly get with this? And yes, i know, i should upgrade. And yes, i know, this is pre-alpha so it doesn\'t use up system resources efficiently.

Im sure i need a 1ghz processor to play, but what speed UNDER that 1ghz would be suggested?

[edit] i was able to play PlanetSide with this pathetic machine, and only when i got into major battle did it slow down to a unplayable level. played in 800x600 (the lowest resolution) with everything turned off/lowest possible setting. [/edit]

I use a P4 2.1 ghz processor with 256 mb ram geforce 4 mx 440 (crappy card!!) DSL connection and Xp, and my framerate lies around 40 when best in 800x640, and the lowest I\'ve seen it at was 0.06 :P but that\'s definetly not often ;)

for me it didn\'t make a difference, whether I had 512MB or 1GB of Ram.

@Empanado try it, if you have 196MB more Ram...:O and well, maybe a faster computer...
