This has been on my mind a while, but instead of asking a complex multi-part question I\'ll just keep it simple and pratical.
Right now in the game, we can jump. In the future, will we still be able to jump? And if so, will it be relevant to interaction with the world? That\'s all I want to know.
-
I\'m sure it will, considering such planned skills as Climbing and whatnot... it would be strange indeed if they removed the ability.
-
heh! why would they remove the jump skill? this isn\'t Rainbow Six!
-
The lack of jumping was something you cursed at, back in the days of Doom :P I seriously don\'t think it will be removed....
And most of you in here are always talking about how realistic the game should be... so let me ask you : How realistic is \"not being able to jump?\" :P
-
How realistic is jumping 6 feet into the air? (Enkidukai being the exception)
Or falling off the tower and surviving?
-
I agree that jumping 6 feet in the air isn\'t the most realistic thing around but falling off a tower will surely induce damage in the later stages of the game. At least I hope it will.
-
damage will probably be added for falling later - but jumping long distances could be tied to s skill like in Morrowind
-
Yeah, I\'m sure you\'ll be able to jump, why would they REMOVE a feature ? (unless it\'s proven to be bad, but I can\'t see why jumping would be bad).
Anyway, I guess you\'ll be able to jump higher and farther with a skill, but it should remain reasonable. And I also hope you\'ll be able to walk/run faster when you get experience, cause I really feel like running in MB should be walking...
PS : and add strafe jump + rocket jump please :-P
-
You are aware the the single most anticipated MMORPG of all time recently released and you cannot jump.
In fact, its Star Wars: Galexies (SWG) and you cant jump, you cant fly, and you cant swim.
Go figure.
-
Sounds like a dumb idea to remove something like jumping in a game that should stimulate roleplaying. It adds to the reality.
-
Actually, there is \"jumping\". Although it does not enable you to get on top of any object, ledge, etc. It is an emote. It plays an animation making you look like you\'re jumping, which can be used for roleplaying purposes only.

I think everyone missed the point behind this... I was actually hoping a dev could say yes or no to this... maybe they don\'t know either... meh nevermind...
-
what many of you don\'t understand about the devs is that due to many issues with the modern world *blah blah blah* they are not able to just post everything they are doing/saying to you guys... they have to sign confidentiality agreements to protect the game that we so love :D
Edit: so you can\'t expect them to feal free to respoind to all the questions we think up... sometimes they just arnt allowed to ... or it isnt worth the effort of getting their statements approved by the PR guys and Talad
