Title: Im stuck in the underworld!
Post by: Fingel on August 13, 2003, 08:26:05 pm
Well I thought it would just be like any other time I fall through the map to the very bottom, but it wasn\'t I coulden\'t /spawn. Not even after restarting the game (did this 4 times) would it bring me back to the spawn point. Yes people, I ran the updater, in fact, I built from CVS only a week ago, and I wrote a script that runs the updater every time I start the client, so thats not the problem. Please someone help me get out! I like the name I have (Fingel) so I don\'t want to have to start a new character!

I don\'t completely get it,

If you run the windows version, there is a /spawn problem. Running the updater should fix that. If you have built the package from CVS on Windows maybe the updater doesn\'t work, try the binary package.
If you have built the Client (MB release) on linux, there should be no /spawn problem. The updater doesn\'t work at all on a linux system.

I am running linux, built from CVS. Obviously I have a /spawn problem, it has NEVER worked for me, I have always had to wait for the message \"Moving back to spawn point\" and then restart. But now I can\'t even do that.

I\'m using slackware 9.0, with PS built from cvs. /spawn doesn\'t work correctly for me either. However, I\'ve found that when you /spawn and restart and still is in the same spot you can do the following: Type /spawn, and quit as fast as possible. That usually helps. I would be happy if someone could solve the /spawn problem some linux users seems to have.
