Might as well start an armour thread...
Since we already got weapons it wouldn\'t hurt to add the armour part also.
Brigadine:
Its an armour made of leather with little metal rivets

Gorget:
Its metal that can be worn around the throat to protect the neck.

Sabatons:
Basically metal shoes for the feet.

Very true. We already have weapons, spells, cities, and other items. Although the \'other\' could use another thread....
How should we organize the armor ideas, though? Perhaps we could organize it into the following:
Name: (Of course)
Where worn:
Protects against: (Things like slash, pierce, magical attacks such as pure magic, fire, etc., and so on)
Weaknesses: (Same as above, but weak to)
Made from:
Description:
Should the above, or something resembling the above, be used for armor ideas?
Nice pictures, by the way.

As far as I see it you\'ve got 4 main types of armour Leather, Chain mail, Plate armour and Special Anti-magic Armour (Sorry 5, Mixtures). With several different types under each.
Different Armour segments could be.
Footwear: Boots, Shoes etc
Leg Protection: Leather, Plate armour components
Body Under Armour: Arming Doublets etc
Body Main Armour: Jackets, Chain Mail, Breast Plate etc
Headgear: Helmets, Coifs etc
Hand Protection: Gloves, Gauntlets etc
Other Stuff: Belts, Cloaks
Magic Stuff (Not Really Armour but acts like it): Rings, Amulets, Potions, Spells
Each type of armour could have its own advantages and disadvantages over other types. Also you can wear any armour if it fits your race but as you become skilled in its use the disadvantages become less.
Well thats what I think anyway, Anybody else got ideas?

I would like to add one thing to that, cloth. Fighters wear Plate, \"Paladins\" (warriors with some magic) wear chain mail, archers and rouges wear leather, and pure casters wear cloth. Of course, this is the way that almost every game handle armoury, but other games arent like PS, so Im not sure if its possible to implent this \"system\" on PS.
Sorry for grammar errors, Im really tired atm.. :baby:

I\'ll go with that except cloth wont provide any protection unless its enchanted in which case you would have cloth as the base no armour level that magic users could enchant to different levels of protection depending on there skill
-
Hmm, yeah, that sounds rather reasonable.. but, how far would that scale go? Should a cloth be able to give the same defense as a plate armor, with the right enchantments? I dont think it should..

you don\'t have to wear metal armour, there are other stuff people should be able to wear instead of metal protection. I personally think each type of material should have different degrees of protection. For example:
There should be such thing as the weakest leather armour and the strongest leather armour. Just as there should be the weakest plate armour to the strongest plate armour. Of course the strongest leather armour wouldn\'t be as strong as the strongest metal armour but the leather armour is lighter and gives the maximum protection while maintaining a light weight. You guys know what I mean?

Intermediate Leather Armour:

Strong Leather Armour:

Thats the general idea I had but you\'ve said it better than I did (Or at least you added more depth and read my mind) :D
You really like your Armour Pics dont you, where did you get them from?
-
I think there are a lot of pics at armor.com

hell why not - what about a crystalline armor for each magical way - it would be a slightly transparent mass of crystals that offers light armor and defence against magicks of their respective way
