Title: Limit to signature length/size

I\'m hoping it won\'t happen, but some people may use great big signatures which take up a huge amount of window space and also suck up bandwidth (visiting other boards I see some sigs up to around 500k in filesize).

Being a 56k modem user it\'s kinda annoying having to wait just because someone couldn\'t be bothered to optimise or resize their image.

I\'m not saying you have that problem yet, you may wanna implement some kinda rule though.

I agree with you totally, however you would be in my \"sig\'too\'big\" category I\'m afraid. Where I come from (in terms of forums) 100x500 is the absolute maximum dimensions.

I hate to see huge images that take more space than the message that preceeds them. It\'s even worse when those images are ugly blocks of colour and messy text. (I don\'t mean yours, Silver. I like your sig actually. :) )

So, yes, considering anyone and everyone can add a signature pic, there should be some restrictions. It\'ll save on some board space where all you do is yell at them to reduce the size.

If you are really annoyed by them you can easily disable other people\'s signatures in your profile from showing up.

That\'s true, but I don\'t want to have to turn all signatures off just for the sake of one or two annoying ones.

I think it will just be necessary to deal with it... maybe you can report gigantic ones to Vengeance though

Just tell someone to take it off, and they usually will (as long as it\'s within reason of course), people who won\'t will probably be banned sooner of later anyways.

Also, I wouldn\'t worry about having 56k, once you around a while you basically have all the sigs on the comp.

It\'s big, but not excessive. I\'d say it\'s a reasonable size, unless anybody has some major problem with it.

the mirth one is about the max size.  i find seperoots a tad large. but i use cable so i am content.

mine is nice and little  but the charecter limit of 200 or wahtever is dumb.  my ^clicky under my sig is almost the full sig... kindawas hoping for more. and it is bad for the all text sigs.

actually I think Seperots is fine... anything bigger than that though coulkd be excessive
