Title: Player List

I don\'t know if this would be easy to do, but would it be possible to have a list of people who are currently playing without actually entering the game urself?  It takes me about ten minutes to load, and often I find that nobody I know is on.  I guess I\'m just lazy.  :D

I play for the sake of playing mostly, but I think that would be a good addition.

although that might be doable now I guess. it would probably have to be dropped later on anyways once we get alot more people... you should just get msn stuff from your friends so you can talk to them without joining

Although there is no way to see exactly who is online, you can tell how many. Just look down the side of the front page of http://planeshift.fragnetics.com for server status.

Well the fragnetics site also has  a list of people that have logged on in the last 24 hours so you could check that and at least have an idea.

well im gonna post an idea, which i actually thought this was going to be about, well id quite like to see a top 100000 player list like on the t\'old unmentionable game =) and what would make this even cooler (and more complicated and time consuming and pointless) would be if u the top say 1000 had profiles with character info in =) .

I dont like the idea of ranking players :P  If this is to be a roleplaying game then what about the true RPers?  are you going to start giving RP points?  That would make some people begin \'power\' roleplaying and the like... no this is too troublesome and FPSish for me... ranking doesn\'t really fit in the long term in my opinion

I was thinking more along the lines of how often people are on, but i guess people could just leave their computer running =/
