Title: -game question

ok hi i just recently downloaded the game and i was walking around not really doing anything, well so i asked someone what i was suppose to do in the game. considering there seems to be only one city?? ok well they told me i have to find crystals which are \"randomly lying around the city\" well i walk around for a while and i didnt find anything. So i continued to talk to people and they said that it takes a LOT of crystals to be able to buy something. Also i couldnt really find anything to fight, as in monsters to like be able to loot and get stuff such as money or new items?? sooo i really dont understand the point of the game. plz enlighten me on what im suppose to do or? is there somewhere for noobs to fight? oooorr?????? what???i dont understand

-I use to play everquest and so i was kinda going off that to try to play this.

PlaneShift is currently in development. The version you are playing is a pre-alpha \'tech demo\', which means there is very little to do as of yet.

The purpose of a tech demo is really only to test the foundations of the game- physics engine, collision detection, etc.

Combat is hopefully implemented in the next version, Crystal Blue. This is due to be available by December/January at the latest.

yeah, the same thing happened to me the other day, a friend of mine told me about IRC, so I thought I\'d give it a try, so I downloaded the client, I connected to a server, entered a channel and asked someone what I was supposed to do...
Nobody took the time to explain me, the IRC community really sucks, so I uninstalled the client :p


PS : sorry, it\'s late, I\'m getting tired...

IRC is fine if you want to contribute, you just gotta know who to contribute to and when to do it. :) Doesn\'t work if you log on at times where the important people aren\'t on. :P

lol, didn\'t think someone would actually answer that  :-P

anyway, welcome here if you choose to stay with us DT. If not, come back in a few months (years ?), then PS should be playable and much more exciting than what it is now.

all there is to do is get crystals, explore like they said, buy big pointy things that you cant use, chat, and gawk at members of the opposite gender of assorted species.

but don\'t you realize that we NEED those skins in the final version ? I mean how can you roleplay if you can\'t even get naked ?

maybe not that extreme... Djagg we will be able to see different items/armors/weapons on our bodies and on other people\'s bodies in later releases right?
