If I could take screenshots, I would. But apparantly because right after I closed PlaneShift, the game has hogged all avalidable RAM, and refused to give it back, requesting that I reboot my computer in the processor. Oh well, at least it didn\'t punch me in the stomach for my lunch money.
-the memory bug-
After I finished playing PlaneShift, when I run programs, sometimes it says \"not enough memory to open, please close other applications first\", even if I restarted my computer and logged in-out again. I don\'t remember the exact error message, but that should sum it up. I decided to see what was wrong by accessing system icon on the control panel.
-the \"access denied\" bug-
Apparantly, PlaneShift does something weird to Windows ME\'s operating system because right after I closed it, and ran the \"system\" icon in the control panel, it said \"access denied, only adminstrators can use this feature\" or something, anyways that would sum up what it would say.
-the pssetup.exe bug-
I decided to want to run in full screen lowered quality graphics mode, but when I try to open pssetup.exe it says:
\"Fatal Error: Cannot create directdraw device\"
My computer stats:
450mhz Pentium 3
128MB 66/100 mhz SDRAM
12GB hard drive
16 bit sound blaster
Sapphire Radeon 7000 32MB SDRAM
56k Aztech/Conexant winmodem
Earthlink Accelerated Internet service (proxied)
DVD-drive (sound card connected to it)
Floppy Drive
Windows ME

Well, I can offer two pieces of sure advice. Firstly, your systems specs are pretty weak. You should buy yourself some more RAM- I\'d recommend 512mb ideally. RAM is very cheap these days so you shouldn\'t have any problems there.
Secondly, I noticed you\'ve got a Radeon card. For some reason, PlaneShift hates them. You could try downloading the latest drivers for the card or just running the game in software mode to see if that helps at all.
Or you could solve everything at once and splash out and buy yourself a decent PC, if you have the money. :)

I only got 50 bucks, which I am saving up to 300 bucks so I can buy myself a nforce2 motherboard(low end processor and DDR RAM installed), and wait another year to get money for a video card, and then transplant my other components in this system to that one. Not the fastest of the bunch but at least it will last for a while before I got to make one from scratch.

ooooo. I getting a Athlon 64 soon. :)
I hope PS dosn\'t reject it or anything.

but I thought that 64 bit processors isnt coming yet

i expect ur powersupply nto good enough for anew motherboard. getting a new motherboard as an upgrade from a bad computer doesn\'t work as planned very often.
