Title: lag!! somebody shoot me(or the problem)

Now forgive me for sounding like dumb_newbie@aol.com but when I log on to the game I suffer so cruelly due to LAG that it makes me shed tears the size of melons. If any of the high and mighty out there can help me out that\'d be like .........................(i\'m at a loss for words to express my joy, gratitude and all that crap).

Well, everybody experience lag atm, but if you lower your configs, it might reduce lag. Also, increase your virtual memory. :)

Welcome to PlaneShift Auran,

At the current stage of development, PS lags for almost everyone on any kind of machine. Some causes of lag include low amounts of RAM and the use of a Radeon card.

You should ideally have a lot of RAM in order to play this tech demo relatively smoothly. I have 512mb myself and it runs with average performance.

There\'s some other things you could try, though. Use a lower resolution, fullscreen, in 16bit colourdepth. You can set all of these with the PSSetup.exe program. If possible, don\'t switch to other programs while playing PlaneShift as this can cause problems. Run the Updater.exe program while the game is *not* running to make sure your client is at the latest version.
