Title: The Rangers Guild

You are gathered here to witness the creation of a new guild, the Rangers Guild. Due to the circumstances of theese times our select group of individuals has decided to part from the guild known as the legendary warriors. We, valueing our honor have founded the Rangers Guild, a mildly secret and elite group. Note I say \"mildly\" no big trials and tribunals here.

We have trusted leadership, sections for every kind of player, and a very cool looking forum. There is opportunity for advancement, an excellent crew, and fun to be had. Don\'t let our selecting process scare you, we\'re very nice and newbies can be accepted. :)

So, join the guild to be proud of, the Rangers.

Current members: Seperot, Grakrim, Fredde, and myself.

Speaking for myself I am happy that something good has arisen from the ashes of what was LW before the Great Scandal! You can count on my support, and if you avoid the unethical mistakes of others, also that of AO.

We are positive towards new guilds whether they be totally new or newly-reformed like Rangers. When it is old hands like you gusy starting up afresh one can only be delighted about the prospect of the PS communnity growing richer in diversity.

I am currently speaking to one person that is unhappy with his guild that seems to be dying a slow death and wants to play as rogue. I\'ll PM one of you with his info so you can contact him. I\'ve worked with him personally on a project outside of AO and can personally vouch for him.

Good luck and all of you come and role-play!!! :D

Defenders were created about 1,5 month ago and we\'re doing pretty well :)
and don\'t get yourself fooled by number of members :P :)

Wow i didn\'t know Enraged is calling me a traitor. I was told he will but never heard him saying that... well i didn\'t actually met him since i left...

Anyhow this sure is hot topic...

I would also like to say that Defenders and Rangers have official guild friendship :)

At least you had the decency to announce your withdrawal from your old guild before setting up the new one. Now that kind of action everyone can respect and after the scandal that your old guild got involved due to the leadership it had no one can exactly blame you.

Good luck with your recruiting and the same to Defenders!

You know, in a way I almost thank Enraged. If it wasn\'t for him, I wouldn\'t have been guildmates with all the wonderful people that somehow found their way to LW. It was fate that brought us together, Enraged was merely acting as a means of fate. We all know what went wrong with LW, but to think of its great effect on the PS community, its simply amazing. Good luck to all my former LW guildmates, wherever they may find themselves in the time to come.

Rangers wish only to live in peace amongst themselves and only go to war when said peace is threatened.

Means:
Rangers only attack when an attack against them is inevitable.
Rangers never provoke war.

In other news, the council has agreed on an inactivity policy, in order to prevent our ranks from being filled with inactive members.

Well it is pretty much impossible to have an alliance with Explorers (Sep explained to me) they are totally neutral, which means they dotn make alliances and they dont try to make enemies! :D

I\'m not sure why you quoted me, so i\'ll try to explain what i ment:
let\'s say there is someone \"new to the realm\" ;) and sees 2 guilds: Explorers and Rangers. Since rangers can be seen as explorer-like people that person might think that there\'s an alliance between those 2 guilds.

They have special powers, but they had to show much reason to gain them... it\'s unlikely one would abuse that then, as it\'s VERY unreasonable.

It seems that some of Rangers are busy with monketh\'s tavern and merchant thingy...

as for the story: There was a guild called Legendary Warriors. It was quite huge, but it had a lousy leader so it had to fall...
First the co-leader (Draklar was his name ;)) left it, forming Defenders guild and all good aligned Legendaries followed him. A bit later half of neutral and evil members left it as well and created \"Rangers\" (The other half joined Assassins).
end of not-so-long story :P
