Tired of people pushing you around? Bullying you? Cutting in line ahead of you while you remain at the same spot for 7 hours and 23 minutes? Kicking your butt while you are down? getting the credit for work you have done?
An eye for an eye is what the Cabal says. Show them what an incredible Jerk you can be if you want to.
Hello all those people who have been suppressing their inner jerks for all these years( whatever the reason- cops, parents, girl/boyfriend a goody two shoes, getting beaten up, boss .......need I go on).
This is a call to you all to set that inner jerk free. Join the CABAL ,the guild for jerks and wannabe meanies. . Why be anything else? Being a jerk will avail you a myriad of opportunities. Plus there will be a Free Health plan (involving something like kicking Noob ass and stealing their potions). You can ofcourse be the member of any other guilds you choose. The only condition for membership is behaving like a complete A**hole from time to time.
( I dont know if I can use this word here. O admin pray do tell??)
Here are some other professions you can pursue while being a jerk:
1.Rogues steal, Jerks steal.
2.Fighters fight (and get killed), Jerks fight old ladies and newbies( and live to see another day plus steal the old lady\'s purse).
3. Paladins fight for the downtrodden, Jerks kick downtrodden ass and act like AntiPaladins.
4. Traders make money, Jerks make money.
5. Assasins kill people for money, Jerks kill people for money.
maybe you gentle reader have some more ideas about the scope of this most excellent of professions. Post them and If good it\'ll be added to the official advertisement when it is released.

The First official Cabal Notice
attention all you wussy Felines lair Kitties. Join the cabal and get atleast Half a spine. What the heck i\'d rather be shot in the groin than be called a member of the itty,bitty,wimpy,sissy kitties.
Anyway we\'ll see what they have to say when our weaseling, backstabbing ways ensure that we are at the helm of that guild.
Our warning to all other guilds is (As the Borg say)-
Resistance is futile. You (Goody two shoes Lusers) will be assimilated.
Any way you have nothing to fear. I have strategies that will ensure none of them know if you are our members until its too late.
Always remember Darkness, Evil and jerks are omnipresent and (semi)omnipotent. Vitrue and justice is ephemeral.
( And moreover there are too many of these Luser guilds anyway)

Yeah. And there\'s still a few months left before CB will be out. Think of everything that might happen during that time. :P And come to think of it, by that time they can have secret members in any of the current guilds (you never know). Once this comes abroad, it\'s gonna be heads without bodies and bodies without heads all over the Yliakum the next day after CB with it\'s basic fighting will be released. :D

I am trying really hard to churn out a guild of the meanest,loathsome,immoral lowlifes. I am tired of playing the Benevolent Elven Archmage I usually play as. But I\'d like to clarify here that all I say and do on the forum is a part of the image i am trying to project. In reality I am not one tenth the jerk I seem to be ;). So no hard feelings for the things I say or do here OK?
Moving onto Business:
All the LuserGuilds out there can be sure that even if your Lusers dont join us, plenty of our \"Leech\"(Cool name or whut!) infiltrators will join you and sow discord in your organisation till it crumbles into nothingness or is assimilated by the CABAL.(Evil Laughter)Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!...so on. So remember the day your world ends, The darkness will be there to swallow up your remains. We are not some Two Bit theives of the ShadowCrud or something. We are cold,calculating evil personified. Working methodically to bring about the destruction of your society and spread our corruption. That sets us apart from chaotic evil Legions of Doom and other mud. We have too much sense not to go about revealing ourselves until we are sure that your organisation is dead and we have hacked its corpse to pieces and swallowed them up.

When the CABAL is done with these goody,goody guilds, The FL will make a beeline for their litterboxes like the kittens they are. I dont care if God is their Guildmaster. As I have always said our aim is stealthy corruption. Even if we are destroyed we\'ll come back again and again. They will slip sometime. One can evade Death and Darkness for eons but they are inevitable. We\'ll destroy all guilds. We\'ll win by wading rivers of Blood if we have to. Life holds little value for the CABAL in the attainment of its mission. We\'ll always be around as long as people are driven by the lust for power and fortune and the quest for shortcuts to it. Infact we will corrupt all guilds. Methinks we\'ll start with the \"mirth\" or \"naugrim\" guys. They look suckers enough. As to the much anticipated CB the CABAL will go underground as soon as it is released. You are free to speculate what that will involve.

A jerk who kills noobs for their potions and crystals which he never uses anyway. Someone who pushed children and old ladies because he felt like it. Who begs, borrows, steals. Who isnt below doing anything to get his way and save his skin. But wait a minute that is the description of perfect evil as well. So hereby I postulate

Well maybe you don\'t see difference between fool and the hero when they both die. But there\'s great difference indeed. While fool will be moved into the dust of oblivion, the hero will stay in memories of his friends and those that he saved.
You can\'t destroy good. While those that are following the way of light will get stronger, gain friends, people they can trust - you will fall. What do you think you can expect from those that are following you? Remember... they are evil... they are \"jerks\"... One day you won\'t wake up. Your so called friend will betray you... he will have the power... and you\'ll be the fool that noone actually recalls...
Why to help others? why not do so? So what if they haven\'t done anything for us? So what they aren\'t strong? Our destiny is to help others... it is clear as that. We will gain friends... we will gain allies...

So there it is Folks. We are Neutral evil though most of the work will still be Lawful evil. I cant overlook the necessity of theft and homicides for our guild. Still the main work will be acting like jerks, sowing discord, ruining reputations , spreading rumors and the like for new initiates.

Not to mention Shadowhand (dunno what their oppinion is of ur guild but if they becoem ur enemy ur scrwed.... very screwed..) Do you have any alliances, any friendships?? at all??? or are u jsut saying all this and then ur gunna get ur ass beat in CB for being a \"jerk\" before u cud even do anything to back it up??

Thanks for hating us Tranor pal(my head aint swollen or anything. I\'m just playing my part to get as many enemies as possilble). Your guild sounded like such a nice guy robin hood type guild that I just had to be enemies with you. Dont worry dude i\'ll do my best to give your and the other guilds a run for their money. Relax man It\'s just a game. If I am killed ,I am killed, no hard feelings. I will try my best to roleplay the jerk I seem to be and so will our members.
However there seem to be doubts about the modus operandi of the CABAL so here goes-
1. The first post was kind of an advertisement. Generally acting like jerks is what guild noobs whom we will refer to as CABALI will do. The members of Lesser Councils will regulate their activities and in turn be regulated by the \"Fiends\" of the Greater Council when needed.
2.Besides the public face of a jerk guild, we will have a secret society consisting of- the Greater council of the super evil jerks a.k.a Fiends and The Council of the Cabal Core of the evil incarnates a.k.a (some cool name to be thought of later) who will plot downfall of society as a whole and the guilds on a piecemeal basis. That is the greater agenda. These guys will be coordinating the activities of sleepers, Cabal Assasins, Cabal Rogues and Cabal DreadKnights.
3. Informatrion about Elder members is and always will be strictly confidential. Jerks from Lower councils will get promoted after their mean acts seem sufficiently evil to their seniors. Until in the Greater Council, Jerks are free to join whatever other guild they want. Fiends and above will be expected to join other guilds for the sole purpose of bringing about their downfall.
4. The rule differs for any guilds allied with us (alignment is not an issue). Their identity will also be closely guarded. All members are free to join and pursue careers with them. But The Council of the Cabal Core will not be allowed the risk. As is evident there are too many guilds going for their throats for this to be otherwise.
So I dare anyone of you Luser Guilds to find out any of their ID\'s. If you dont know them , you dont slay them. What makes you think that there are no sleepers in place already in some guilds?
Anyhow Thanx for hating us again. I\'d again like to urge all you evil jerk wannabes to join up as soon as you can. Thing\'ll be difficult after CB and we need jerks to swell our ranks.
Thanks for the warning moggs but Thegeneral seems to be the ideal jerk. So I hereby proffer upon him the title of CABALI. Dont worry about anything. Being a mainly sleepers society gives members the choice to be inactive for long periods of time and not get nagged to do luserly activities like the other guilds want you to. Just suit yourself and act like a jerk from time to time:).

You will just need to mail me at my email id. With details about your in-game charachter. The ID you mail from will get notices and memos about intended CABAL meetings and activities.

YAY, I always dreamed of being excepted into stuff, that\'s how I got my first credit card, the banks said that I am now a part of their \"family\", and being a part of that I should give them a part of my money so that they could get more \"family.\" Banks are just a massive pyramid scam, that\'s all.

BTW- All cabali can use the JERKMODE which transfers the consequences of their actions to the guild(unless otherwise declared by The Council members of The Cabal Core).
JERKMODE usage is simple.
Just type-
(JERKMODE ON)
proceed with insults or whatever;).
(JERKMODE OFF)
and you go scottfree while the Guild gains new enemies.
A list of people with authorised JERKMODEs will Be published by the council later.
General you should send me that mail unless you have done so already to recieve all the other JERK PERKs( Doesnt that sound cool ). THE HEAD JERK is great i\'ll use that for the elders of the Lesser Council. I and all my brethren in the core council shall hereby be known as Corruptors.

I don\'t hate you, or your guild. Scroll up, I wished you the best of luck and I am sincere in it. I believe that our little worlds needs villains as well as heroes, and your cabal might promote a bit of chaos, which above all makes the game interesting. I believe that your petty thieves will fall at the hands of the Defenders should you try to assail n00bs, and your high rank infiltrators slain by the Assassins, and every other guild that cares to notice you would probably be only too happy to take a swipe at you at every chance.
Notoriety is as good as fame.
Felines Lair considers no one as enemy yet, and I\'m sorry but you will have to try a lot harder to obtain that status. At the moment you aren\'t even a nuisance, more a passing amusement. Do your worst, I look forward to seeing the results, one way or another.

So finally I think Ayshe has been able to hit the nail on the head. That is what I want to do people. Give you some challenges. Maybe a little fear and tendency to look over shoulder from time to time. So dont give up on us immediately if we do seem a little inactive. Thats how things are meant to be. Spies among your midst. Hooligans on the rampage. Covert guild wars. That is what makes RPGs great. There must always be a hidden sense of danger and the possibility of a greater mind directing evil minions. These are things that NPCs and NPC monsters cant provide. Imagine a world where everyone is a paladin, priest or a trader. What fun would that be? You can do that in real life.
- Who would test your warriors\' mettle if not our Dreadknights
- Who would your elite assasins slay if not our Leeches, Fiends and Corruptors.
- Whom would your Archdruids and BattleMages fight if not with our DeathMages and HellShamans.
- Whom would you fear and despise if not us.
So for the sake of all that goes into the making of a succesful MMORPG I hope the Devs give up their wierd idea of a world free of crime and strife. That would be like creating a world born into death. Become a hermit if you are looking for peace. Play an RPG for the adventure and thrill of a rise to glory from being a nobody.
Therefore I again call the people who are willing to join The Cabal. Together My Brethren we will make the community\'s life a bit more difficult and a bit more challenging. Go through the thread for info about us and mail me if you think you have it in you to make a archvillian (or maybe even a crappy jerk;))

I hope you understand that i have to see you as enemy in roleplaying terms :)
But killing newbies won\'t be as easy as you think...
I mean how do you see it? Some jerk-rogue goes after newb and asks him: \"can i duel you?\" :P
i think this thing isn\'t good for roleplaying at all... i think there should be something like 1 attack on player per day, and even if you kill him you won\'t get his weapons, and you won\'t train your skills much by doing so. There should be more stuff like that so only roleplayers (and jerks ;)) would do that. Oh and Defenders would have something to do too :D ;)
hm... is neutral-evil fitting this guild? For me someone that is neutral-evil is someone that, for example, will kill people for money. Someone that is just EVIL could do same for free ;)

And good point Draklar. I mean why are the devs hellbent on neutering the game. Its really no big deal if someone is killed. They can rejoin ,respawn whatever. And If you cant steal stuff whats the fun in being evil. Hell I dont even know whats the point in owning cool stuff except impressing Nubs and Chicks. I mean stealing, pickpocketing, assasinating, are like the first semester of Evilology. What the hell are the bad guys supposed to do? I just hope the devs change their minds before Yliakum is full of saints and the only people left for the good guilds to kill are each others members.
As to the alignment question I can safely say we\'ll have jobs for all evil alignments- Lawful, Neutral and Chaotic.(we might even have some for good and neutral charachters except chaotic good). So the guild alignment should ideally be plain EVIL. but since we have to define it ,the best bet is the middle path.

Well not really... besides that getting killed isn\'t nice feeling, in PS you also will be moved to some afterlife world...
But if by getting killed by other player you wouldn\'t lose your stuff and would lose less exp then maybe it would work out...

Ofcourse people should lose their stuff( serves them right for carrying +5 Psion\'s Blades and still getting killed. Can you imagine that the luser was fit to carry it?) But losing Xp shouldnt be. Rather they should gain a very small amount (or we\'ll have people jumping off towers for fun and profit) after having a Back from dead experience. The gain should be like say a thousand deaths will get you one level.
take a hint devs. Change while there still is time. And for gods sake get a better storyboarder or let the forum do it for yuz.

Well if so then we would see player killing just for pure profit, not at all for roleplaying. If so i\'m against. You still would lose stuff by being killed by various creatures, but wouldn\'t be so painfull to get killed by other player.
And i think afterlife is a great idea :))

Wake up pal! Killing is supposed to be profitable. It is the shortest and most evil way to riches. Thats where you good guys come in. You are there to prevent us bad guys from making Homicide a profitable sport. When a guy is killed you do what cops do. You hunt down the bad guys. Why the hell are you calling yourselves defenders for? What will you defend , your own skins? Heck I do that and i aint no defender.
Plus losing one\'s stuff is mandatory why else would I fear getting mugged or even killed? I\'d run into any guild house, call their leader \"A**hole\" and the most they could do is ask me if I want to fight a duel which I politely decline. I expect to get killed for that pal. Where\'s the thrill otherwise?
And whats so great about the after life pray tell. What\'m I s\'posed to do there. Yell \"Ooooooooooooooo\" at passerbys and jangle chains?

- assassins are supposed kill for bounty. How pal? Ask the guy politely to jump of the roof? challenge him to a duel? What kind of lame assassination would that be.
- Bandits will have the same problem. How do they get rid of the guys guarding the convoy.
Worst of all you forgot the people who are at the grassroot level. Thieves and thugs. What do they do , pick posies for a living?
Moreover if people are in fear of losing their lives that\'ll drum up the defending business too;). That\'ll also create a need for some Luserly avenger\'s guild as you suggest.
So you see we need killing and we need looting. Believe it or not a peaceful RPG is not a good RPG. Being Evil is a role too and killing people for their stuff or at least looting them at sword point is an essential part of it. (i\'m beginning to suspect that you posess +3 stuff and no fighting skills :))
And sure people wont like getting killed. That is how its is supposed to be. You cant expect us to Roleplay as the evil guys and care about if people like being killed or not.
So lets make somethings clear . You can have a perfect world or you can have a real world, choose as you like. I dont know whether you have ever played a bad guy but believe me it is very hard to slay an enemy cowering in fear in front of you begging for mercy even if you play as Satan himself. Dont think that just because they can, people will go on a killing spree. Hell I wont even do that and I\'m supposed to be Evil Incarnate.
BTW- You are right about Afterlife . maybe it wont be such a bad idea if there are ways to come back.

I would like to thank no one in helping me to achieve this goal. Your stupid and ignorant posts made it that much easier to make fun of you. Also, I would like to give thx to the \"Abtronic Ab System\", which gave me the emotional support and strength I needed in those hard time. A part of my thx goes to the kind mods, for they were smart enough not to ban me completely.
And about back stabbing, if anything, I have a master plan to take over the guild one day and make myself the master of all that is everything.

I see the Cabal basically as what you have described it to us. Here\'s my own description though:
A chaotic group of no-good evil dooers, climbing over eachother to reach the top and yet sinking to any low in order to achieve their selfish goals. Those who stand in your way have only two choices: join you or fall.
You ultimately want to be the wealthiest, most successful people around by any unfair means necessary, but you also want to be the sole overlord of all the peoples of Yliakum. This means corrupting other guilds; eroding them from the inside-out, spreading rumours, hounding and annoying people to drive them mad or drive them out, whichever... you\'re not fussy.
However, you\'re not without strategy and intelligence. You use your evil cunning to plot and scheme, hoisting the Cabal up the ladder of success as efficiently and ruthlessly as possible.
By the way, you can load PSD files in Paint Shop Pro too. :)

1)we have 8 members mostly people who have played for a while and know there way around
2)rangers guild is not much older than your guild
3)i dont act like i rule the world at all i just wont stand people calling me ignorent or anyone who is being annoyed by a jerk

Okay okay! Sheesh! I give up. Relax ppl its still some time till CB and even though I want it badly I cant crush you like the vermin you are until then:D. So i\'ll shut up for now but I can\'t help if other Cabal members are not as understanding. So I suggest you keep it down for sometime too(not that I mind otherwise though;)).
Come now think if we didnt exist who would you pick on? The poor gnome\'s peddling trinkets and baubles! Would that be fitting for such mighty (or so you say) warriors?
Anyhow I think you guys can see that i and my brethren are trying hard to make this evil/jerky guild a success and I guess we have been somewhat successful judging by the fact that you hate us already. So help support us by (as I previuosly requested) posting bad things about us in your guilds(warnings and the like...Any publicity is good publicity) and I promise I\'ll do my best to defame you on mine. Together we might rescue the game from becoming a sad excuse for an mmorpg.
ps- 8 members ! Good show rangers! All the more for us to kill!

TEH Black Order is probably the most hated guild still and has had this job for a while.

If you are really working on that Cabal rulebook I requested, maybe you\'ll like to go through the whole of this thread while you are at it. It will give you some idea of what this guild was started for. Its intended Ideologies and activities. And most importantly what the populace expects of us. We must not let them down. I would specially recommend a post by me which generally outlines the cabal(not the first one) and vaguely sketches out the posts and their respective activities. I would like you to have a look at a post by Mogura which generally states what the populace views us as. Together my friend we can make this guild a success. The same goes for Alucard too if he reads this post.
An important thing that i\'d like to inform you of is that except for general posts regarding the Cabal do not use this thread for communication. All internal data and issues should be forwarded to my mailbox from whereon i\'ll relay it to all guildmembers.
