Title: Would a Dutch translation of the client prove useful?

I\'ve been thinking of doing one, but I was wondering, will it prove to be useful in the future?

i don\'t know, i\'m dutch myself and alot of players are but still the chatting is english so it would be kinda useless in the end.

cuz what is a gui compared to the communication in my eyes nothing

i vote against.

Nonesense. If you would like to create a Dutch patch of the game, feel free to view this link (http://www.planeshift.it/community_languages.html). The devs are eager to have the game translated into many different languages and will definitely appreciate your help.

I\'d say do it, I know there are some people who would rather prefer to see the game options in their own native language since they are not that good with English.

It\'s good to provide an alternative to those people, it can\'t hurt making one can it?

ok i agree on that part i guess i\'m kinda english mattered for a dutchman.

i think i\'m gonna see what will come from it.

I just translated the option screens and I was wondering if someone knew which font is used with the backdrop pictures, because I want to preserve their quality.

Well I\'m dutch too...but no, i don\'t think there is a great need for a translation. Ofcourse this is only my opinion. I\'m used playin online MMORPG\'s in english and it would be not much fun anymore if it would be in dutch...most people are english aye? So when you would put it in dutch i think there wouldn\'t be people enough on it to make it fun.

I think a few of you here are misunderstanding the concept of this. I urge you to view the link in my previous post- these are translation patches. People who want them can download them. Originally, the game will come in English.

There\'s no \"Hmm I think maybe it will be a good/bad idea...\" in this. It\'s a useful download and convenient for those who are not fluent in the English language.

I agree on the idea (being dutch myself) but i wouldn\'t d-load that patch for it will probably only confuse me. It\'s already hard enough to speak english in the /shout and /guild and have a dutch conversation is /tell at the same time.

Good Luck m8, i think it will proof to be quite valuable to our fellow dutchies who aren\'t such heroes in english. :]

I won\'t need it but I think it\'s a good idea. Cause when I read the abilities etc. I whasn\'t realy able to realy tell what all did. Though I got most of the stuff.
Any ways, if you want to make this game accesable to all (like kids) than you should translate as much as you can.

So I think it\'s a good idea to translate it to Dutch.
