Ah, Kristian was right. Steam for HL suxors big! I can\'t connect to the frekin\' network. Anyone having fun fun fun with this program yet?

I tried it, but I found FilePlanet easier to take my Half-Life files from. That is, when I wasn\'t forced to wait for two hours.

Jeh, steam is evil, updating etc. went well but it didn\'t launch the game :\'( Hope they bury the steam idea and stick with wonid, why change something that works? :|

i use steam from the moment their beta came online and it works like a charm for me as long as i use the beta.

Steam is the spawn of the devil. CS shouldnt take five minutes to load on a P4!
Anyways, search google for a good ftp that has CS 1.6 :)

Well now I have CS 1.6 but I just can\'t connect to steam. Must be the college network that I\'m on.

you ass wipers steam is good its just your pc may have experienced some bugs.
ive fix all my bugs except the custom model bug.

Altharion: Almost everyone that I\'ve talked to has had problems with Steam. Doesnt this make it bad, even though its just a few bugs?

Yeah and besides Steam will totally take over in October and there won\'t be anymore WON id. Plus more people don\'t have a problem with WON.

Won wont go down until at least a month by then many patches will have fixed steam.

I wouldn\'t call steam \"evil\" or \"the spawn of the devil\", it\'s just that VALVe seriously underestimated the amount of activity they\'d get...

One would think that\'d be hard, being that they probably have all of the stats from the WON servers.... and with sooooo many examples of bad launches due to interest underestimates, but no, they still mess it up.

people try to use the beta version of steam ( if you can find it ) that one is bug free.
