Title: Odd Crystal Found
Post by: Zim on September 21, 2003, 05:55:35 am: I saw this little guy grow right in front of my very eyes and right after getting the screenshot it quickly took off as mysteriously as it came. Couldn\'t pick it up and i didn\'t greet it in time to find if it was greetable. Well just thought i would share this suprising crystal with the community.

Post by: Moogie on September 21, 2003, 06:09:12 am: Woah, that really is freaky. My guess is that it was supposed to be a player entity, but something screwed up and he spawned as a crystal and was placed at a spawn point.

What a way to go... poor guy.

hehe, but besides the color of the crystal, i dont think his screen is modified and maybe the name, but ive seen people look like crystals before, actually i belive either grak or monk were a crystal once and actually ran around!

Post by: Wedge on September 21, 2003, 09:06:34 am: I doubt it\'s a doctored photo, a player has seen a crystal with a wood texture mapped onto it, and Kada found a black crystal or something once. Not that you play the game enough to know this stuff happens Dril ;)

After a quick look in Photoshop, it does not show special change.
Yes, a bug is really possible, when a comp wants to have fun you know, he can do everything he wants. ;)

The strange thing is where come from this texture...

I\'ve seen the shot of the Kat\'s wood crystal, I heavily doubt she faked it. The strange thing, unlike most mistextured crystals, it was labeled as a ruby crystal and she could pick it up.

Post by: Zim on September 21, 2003, 10:13:37 pm: This screenshot was not doctored in any way what so ever the client textures were NOT modified by any means!!! I use the default client. The crystal was named ritualofthelion and had that exact skin on it. In no way would i ever try to pass this kind of thing off as real IF it was NOT. I doubt this thing would show up as an item anyhow as it was a glitch. This picture is similar to Kada\'s Guest Crystal. No tricks here. A mear glitch in the system.

Try and locate the player id for ritualofthelion I am betting there is a female kitty with this name :]

No - reporting any such bugs is allways a good thing so (if it isn\'t doctored) keep up the \'good\' work.

Is a bug. Player id for ritualofthelion is something around 6k. Ritualofthelion is a player. They probably logged in and the server bugged and made him/her a crystal. No tricks. Me swears it Master.

Drilixer hehe i just have to state the facts so people dont get the wrong ideas. ;)
