hi all. im new to these forums and i was wondering when the first demo or release of planeshift will be available for download.

If you read the front page near the bottom of the new update it says hopefully by the end of march.......but that could change, last month it was February and i even remember when once it was the end of last year....so no one is REALLY sure, at least that i know of  :D  8)  8o

who gave ya right to be a princess;).  Well anyway, the demo is planned to be released by the end of March, no combat system will be in.............or AI, or maybe there will be....any way, 4 races will be there to choose from.

Well I can understand if you wish to be a noble of some kind. However as stated before the society is not based on that type of system.
I would omit the word princess from your name if I was you. The game moderaters will when you enter the lands.
If you feel the need to be a princess though I can recommend a few ways to go about it.
For that matter if anyone wishes to have titles.
First before the game begins collect a following of people.Friends and companions either here on the boards or other friends from other realms that you may know of.
Once youve established a group create a history for your people either existing within the confines of the hollow realm and how these select people wish you to be there ruler.Or How you were a princess baron duke king whatever on the surface and telling how you came to this realm.
Now keep in mind this will only work if you have enough people to back you in this and you make your story plausible.
Alot of people might swarm to the idea ,while others dont.Keep in mind how this world works though.As you are for the time being a princess in name only with those that follow you.
In the future you might establish your own castle or home or even lands further down the road if this is done properly or you just might become the laughingstock of all the people .

example: old man with his child : aye lad there gos Princess /prince so and so from .......
Or there goes that mad women who thinks she be better than the rest of us good people.

One of the big reasons in getting a clan guild or society together. Before the game begins.Is so that you are organized each person in the group is able to help each other out call it lines of communication.
This can work in with just certain information that each might come across .Usally what one person in the group knows so do the rest.This becomes a form of power as knowledge is.
So yes you might not have what you call power to begin with but if you have a good team and strong leader you will rise up much faster than others.
Even if some individuals are really good.With a group you get more information and ideas.

There are various reasons for titles.It lets people know who the leaders are.It also makes a chain of command.In units or groups if done right everyone has certain duties.These titles often help people to understand thier duties.It also makes it so others in or out of the group know whom to talk to.
Bear in mind titles are useless if there is no meaning behind them.For instance if i was to say i was king as you put it.It would be nothing but a name or a word unless I had followers.
Now with followers and leaders they give these titles meaning.A strong leader is able to see the strengths and weakness of people in his group.Hence why some people get promotions in the milatary while others dont.
  It also gives something back to the Leader or leaders if their good your a reflection of them the same goes for if your bad.In clans guilds society people tend to need someone to go to to decide differences or judge or someone to motivate them or protect them.
 While it may seem to people alot of the time that being the leader is all that .It is usally much easier to be a follower since people arent counting on you as much.When your the leader everyone expects certain things from you.If your a good leader or have a good leader they do what is needed to help in anyway they can.
 Bad leaders are the kind that are up above the rest and feel as if everyone owes them something.
In a perfect situation A leader serves His/Her group as much if not more than the group serves the leader.

lol no i dont mind if they know who i am. and no shimering was not my n00b on rs. that was my main character. i wouldnt call level 81 a newb  ;)  i have alot of newb characters on rs.lol i dont realy use em though.

some of you might know shimering from runescape. well thats me :D one of the top 100 fishers i might add.

Yeah the spawn rate was so so slow on that test server.It was a great idea at first though to make money if we had been on the regular server and really noobs.Still was faster than any other way though.
 Hope you know I had nothing to do with those gladz attacking you that one time :-(

Its sort of odd the kind of characters we get on these boards, isn\'t it?  Oh, and about titles, consider the term \'Knight\' before you diss them all.  Seriously, though, titles will I think, be in the game to some extent because it makes things more fun, though Nobility won\'t be.
