Title: 100,000th player!
Post by: Sharigan on October 29, 2003, 01:12:31 pm: Is it just me, or do you think that the 100,000th player should recieve an in game prize. I think, it\'s fair on the rest of us, who play so much to buy things, and to have it given to someone out of sheer luck. Why dont we all get a gift because there are 100,000 players!

but you might get the problem that people will double register just to become that player.

And I\'m not sure exactly what WE can do for the dev team, other than what we alredy do :D .

I certainly don\'t... He\'s quite probably just one of those that create a character, ask a lot of ignorant questions ingame, gets a lot of answers which he, either doesn\'t understand, or thinks of as stupid and *PLING* his mind is set: \"PS SUX0RZ\" and bye bye Moyra...

Such a prize is a waste of time, and quite stupid, imho...

So he gets a plastic sword. Not the most glamorous of awards now is it? Just calm down. It\'s like scratchcards... you don\'t go getting angry at your friend just because you wasted ?50 on them and won a few quid, and he won the jackpot prize first time. :P

And a sword is a big prize for some people, if it doesn\'t matter why not just give everyone a sword? (plastic? ok...)

Hate to say it, but there are people out there making multiple characters just to get that name as 100kth player so that they can recieve this award. Besides, one character is just as good as the next, right? :)

It\'s not fair on the rest of us, i see people, as well as myself who spend alot of time roaming this world collecting crystals. holding an item in the game is a prestigious thing, it gives someone status. To just give some newbie a sword, isn\'t fair to the people who play and dedicate time to the game. I know it\'s going to be deleted, but really, we spend alot of time playing, we see someone with a sword, and you think \"gee they must play alot, they must know alot about this world, if i have a question, i should ask them!\", but instead you see a noob, with a sword, and it defeats the purpose. If they are plastic, and it doesn\'t matter, why not give a sword to everyone? Why not just freely make them avaliable. why? Because it creates a challange in the game, thats why!

Out of the 100,000 registered players, i\'ve only ever seen 50 different people play. 100,000 means, 100k register, 990k dont like it and leave, never to return. So what did Moyra do to deserve this? nothing, she/he is probably just another person who created character, didn\'t like it and left!

Besides, if there\'s already been a player nr. 100.000, why make another thread to ask/discuss what the future nr 100.000th player will recieve? I don\'t get it... Maybe some of the characters will be deleted, and we\'ll get to have another nr 100.000? :D

Oh well...

Btw, Elegrand - Tough luck. Some of us got a diamond when we first tried looking for one, eh? ;)

And if either of you idiots actually stopped to look at Sharigan\'s posts you will realize he was talking about the update to the main page saying that if the 100,000 player gets a prize we should all get one and asking what we think of it, and then repeating that later omitting the \"we should all get one\" part and just saying it is not fair, they fit perfectly.
