Me and a few of my friends have been thinking about quitting daoc and start playing another mmorpg, now I\'d like your opinions.

And please, no \"pay game suxxorz, free 4all!!1!!\"

I visited the website yesterday and saw what my Moogie character would look like. One of the cat people, of course :) with white fluffy hair and a cute smile.

Unfortunately, I doubt I\'ll be able to ever play. Both myself and my parents don\'t accept pay-2-play games.

This is the only reason that will stop me from playing the only Final Fantasy game I\'ve never had the privilege of trying.

Woe is me... here\'s hoping XII has a single player option.

Post by: Grakrim on October 30, 2003, 10:07:00 pm: FFXI looks great, but I think I\'ll hold off until I see some reviews (I\'m not going to let another SWG happen to me...). Although the world pass system is annoying... If you don\'t know, you\'re assigned to a random server on character creation, and to select a server you must get someone to buy you a world pass (a very expensive item, based on the number of players on the server) that allows you to play on their server, worse yet, world passes expire after 1 week. Fortunatly, in the US version they allow 5 people to join on 1 world pass; so I\'m thinking of starting a world pass group of 5 people. These group members will, of course, have to pay back whoever buys the world pass for us.

Anyone considering getting FFXI in the next month or two want to join this group?

Oh, and Moogie, FFXII will be completely offline, or so they say. I don\'t know why they chose to call this FFXI instead of Final Fantasy Online, or FFV Online...

They release some more official news in a week or so, but as far as I\'ve heard it will be a primarily off-line game. On-line stuff will pry just be extra content and whatnot. And in any case Product Team 4 (Ogre Saga Team!) is making it, so it will rule!!!

Im on the Unicorn server and Im a warrior one of those Galuk guys the big beefy ones :P I started in Windurst because a bunch of my friends are in that area and i didnt want to travel continents !

I\'ll tell you, even though it\'s like five years older and the graphics are much worse, Asherons call is much better. IMO, it\'s worth paying for. the reason I won\'t pay for it is the fact that upped their charges when they bought it out from under microsoft. Now they charge the same as a new game with all the latest graphics, go figure.

I have leveled to 6 with my warrior :D Addicting and so much to do! If anyone wants to come on the Unicorn server I have the world pass my friend gave me it has for 4 more uses still!
