Title: Guild to join?
Post by: Kalzraq on October 30, 2003, 08:04:03 pm: I\'ve had a good look around the guilds, but I\'m still not sure what to join. I\'m a stonebreaker miner, with true neutral alignment (or non-aligned). Can anyone give me advice?

Anyway I am of the mercenary guild, if you are prepared to fight come here. We are chaotic neutral as opposed to true neutral... I.e. we do not involve ourselves in politics unless paid to, and then we do so with our weapons.

but seriously:

If ye are neutral then look towards OI or the rangers. They both are good. I recommend rangers if you are into sneaky stuff. Join OI if you are looking for a experienced and wise guild. Thoug the guild itself is new the members aint. But they don\'t take new guys. So you\'ll probably not be accepted. You\'d stand a better chance with the rangers.

As for web sites being what you look at first - Mirth\'s web site is currently being redone, so please don\'t take us for what we currently have up. The current host has a plethora of bugs. 8)

Nah, not true at all, in fact I\'d say you stand a pretty good chance at getting in eventually if that\'s what you decide is your goal. You have good experience elsewhere, you come across really well Kalzraq and you\'re a dwarf who likes his ale, you\'d probably fit in nicely and feel right at home :D

Not quite right aswell. Although a group of Planeshift\'s oldest players started the guild, it doesn\'t mean new players aren\'t welcome. In fact new players are more then welcome!

We only recruit by invitation. But like Kada, it all depends on how you act inside your character :) and some more things (which offcourse stay secret ;P ). So just come over on our forums and have a stout or a good blackberry wine.

Anywho, Rangers is accepting new members. We are an \"Oligarchy\" (if I remember correctly). There\'s plenty of room for advancement, and loose friendship-based rules. : )
All that is required is a background check. (We gather intel occasionally (sp*))
