Title: Uniforms
Post by: Natrina on November 01, 2003, 09:02:27 pm
Like, wouldnt it be so good to know that that guy over there is from that guild because of his guilds uniform? I would really like having all my guild members dressing the uniform that I would create!

-Hey! why arent you using your uniform?
-I\'m using it! only that I aint using the funny jacket!...

uhh, i think thats thier \"default\" clothing and then the player can get other clothes that suits them more,
but still it would be cool!

isn\'t the armor you wear some kind of clothing, if you wear a mage\'s robe i think it would be already to much to wear a uniform over it too.

Then why not make the uniform a Mage\'s Robe?

It would have to be more like equipment colors or a tabard that you wear over your other gear.  Otherwise a fighter might be stuck wearing a uniform better-suited to a mage.
Or you just might find some armor that\'s better than the uniform that was issued to you.  Maybe a clan crest?  You could have it on the shoulders or breastplate or cape or whatever.

it can be on the logo on your shield or like this armpad clothing like on soul reaver.
but ceartain things about your cloth so you can see which clan he is from.

Yeah, but then there should be free clothes/emblems changing. If we fix people with uniforms there would be no more cool espionage and RP \"in RPC\"(double RP).

Simply, blacksmith should be able to design skins (or at least signs) so a powerful guild can ask a blacksmither a set of weapons for his member. This will add more business between guilds and avoid that signs suddenly appears on your equipement when you join a guild. This will make spying also more interesting because you just need to find a weapon with the same sign has your target guild...

:P  a blacksmith??
i understand if the shield logo and metal things should have the guild logo but not clothing etc.
guilds must produce and buy the clothing from the cloth shop and the blacksmith. thats more realistic to Yliakum world.

Of course!

I didn\'t say that blacksmith will design clothes! I spoke only about blacksmith because i don\'t know if there will be tailors...

At least that job exists, so you should count with it...

I just didn\'t know. I have increased my knowledge today :)

More on-Topic: i think that skilled tailors and blacksmith could have small space on server to add their creations on it. We (in fact it\'s more fragnetics :) ) can for example give 10Ko per level that can be used to make signs (not skins, that use too much memory and bandwidth). That\'s not much but enough to create small 32x32 signs for low-level to 128x128 for high-levels. (we don\'t want signs like seperot old sig, do we?). A similar restriction can be applied on bandwidth usage so players will not create/delete things on server too often (because each new sign must be sended to all clients connected)

To create the sign i think devs can create a small importer in-game so you can work on PSP6 then sending it in-game (sending via FTP will be not so nice)

I would create a dinosaur skin uniform (^^.). it is a very good idea to make a system to manage Guild Emblems logos etc etc.

So go on it.
maxVamp.

Maybe you can make some other things to represent a guild like an new invented weapon that only that guild can use, or know how to use. :),

You must put the pin code to use a movil phone :P a guild with movil phone must be interesting jeje.
Title: I second the idea

Great idea. All in all, all the guilds should apply to become official and get their own uniforms/character designs to show that they are a member. If not, a crest will do.

I also think it\'s a good idea, but then only the guilds own tailor should make the uniforms and it should not be obligated. I mean a guild should decide wether or not they wear a uniform.

I think that would be a great idea to have some type of crest for your guild. Make it an optional item like having an area for an equipable slot for a crest or something. HOw about in the meantime though would it be possible to just display not only the characters name but their guild when you target them?

yeah cool idea, It would be cool to display your membership of a guild and your rank in an insignia..

or perhaps full sets of armor or just some colourful clothes..
Title: Tag
Post by: Lomax on November 17, 2003, 12:31:11 am
I agree, why not as simple as this, a tag that shows beside your name on wich guild you belong to and your rank in it. When i was playing Project Entropia, the tag was shown just above your name. Either you had the status as \"applicant\", \"member\" or \"founder\" and the tag of your Society :) an easy and simple solution that the Devs team could make :D

But having insignias on your shield, armor or clothing as to wich guild you belong to would also be a really awsome idea, just like in the middleages :D

I agree too, the name of guild near the name when point with mouse or in targhet is usefull (and i think more simple to implement).

But why don\'t write this in Official Feature Requests?
Now i do..... :P
