Title: AWS error on Fedora
Post by: knuten on November 07, 2003, 12:18:35 am
I installed the Fedora Core 1 release then tried to install Planeshift both manually and via the build.sh script. In both cases I received the error...

# ./psclient
Warning: Failed to load `aws\'; use \'-verbose\' argument for details.
Warning: Failed to load `aws\'; use \'-verbose\' argument for details.
WARNING: could not load plugin \'crystalspace.window.alternatemanager\'
Xlib:  extension \"XFree86-DRI\" missing on display \":0.0\".
block_size: 8192
Mounting maps: dungeon podium hydlaa temple tower.
planeshift.application.client: Planeshift Molecular Blue
planeshift.application.client: This game uses Crystal Space Engine created by Jorrit and others
planeshift.application.client: 0.97 rdev [Unix-x86-GCC]
Couldn\'t find aws plugin!
planeshift.application.client: Could not set up the AWS window manager!
planeshift.application.client: Failed to init app!

I ran the update and it didn\'t fix it.
Any suggestions?

have you exported CRYSTAL?

It can also be a CS error. I had also a problem with the aws plugin just after checkout yesterday. Try to update CS (my problem went away after i updated)
