Of course you have to take all the credit for the picture. It\'s SO like you. Sheesh :P

It\'s only short people and it says MB in the top because it\'s only Pre-CB. Besides, since when have you seen attack and spellcast menus in MB? :D

Although it says Molecular Blue at the top, this is infact a real screenshot of the current cvs version they\'re working on. Not a bad GUI, eh? Proves a few things about Crystal Blue, to be sure. :)

Every time I read a thread with you in it I\'m thrown off now, Mogura. One minute I\'m envisioning exciting possibilites for the release in December, the next minute...

[Edit: I\'m going to have to include a nightmare in my story on the RP thread about badgers chasing me :P]

pretty cool, though im really hoping that the names above their heads will not be there in the release of CB....dont like those, especially if u even have ur own above ur head...lil silly

the gui doesnt look bad, doesnt really suit what planeshift is though (looks more new age...hacker type blue.......needs to be medieval and rugged)

btw i wanted to ask, if anyone knows, what would the red form on the trees be? Like the real name, i am modeling 3d for a game im working on and i would like to know some hints....how they did their trees would be a nice hint

EDIT-

oh yea forgot to ask, if there is a button for say does that mean its not automatic? like u would think it would still be how it is now....

Don\'t deduce premature conclusions from something that can change A LOT before release. This is really not final. And yes, your own name won\'t be visible :-)

but others will, hopefully, be visible... or do you have to target them...?

You can choose if you see all labels (except yours), or label of the character that you point at only, or no labels at all.

Also note that the GUI is completely skinnable.  It probably isn\'t as powerful as Winamp, for example, but you will be able to define your own looks entirely, and I expect people to produce dozens of them.  :)

Also also note that it is multilingual.  Creating alternate language translations will be very easy in CB.  We already have German and Czech versions of the GUI done by tangerine as he implemented that feature, and I would imagine we will ship with many more.

The windows look and feel you see is just my feeble developer art, with stolen images from the web and hacked up pics from MB.  The 2d team is working on gorgeous new things, I assure you.  :-)

You can change the character skins by going into the source files.... not sure about the rest.

BTW, the screenshot is cool

All you have to do is switch the images in your PlaneShift folder with some home-made ones, and you\'ll have a \"skinned\" MB. :)

Hmmm I see what they meant when I heard them say it\'ll be a heavy command based game, since there are \"shortcuts\" for stuff like attacking, hehehe.  Reminds me of that MUD I played years ago that made things so much easier by adding a sidebar GUI with buttons to excecute basic actions.
