Title: Planeshift Problems (help!)

How do i get Planeshift? Someone walk me through this, cause i cant find out how to download it! (P.S im not a computer nerd so plz dont use fansy terms on me like, uhhh....put in 5475$Planeshift44.doc in your A drive or whatever....)

Go to this page (http://www.planeshift.it/download.html) and follow the instructions carefully.

You should follow from where it says \"windows instructions:\" and download the files you see beneath it.

You need all 5 parts, aswell as the file called Reassembler. These are the only files you need to download from this page.

Place all 5 parts plus the Reassembler in the same folder. For example, just create a folder on your desktop called Planeshift, and put them all in there together.

Run the Reassembler file. If it worked, the last bit of text in the window should say \"1 file(s) copied\".

You\'ll see that a new .exe file has been created in the same folder. Double click this file to start the installation process.

For a walkthrough on creating a character/account for the game and getting started, you can go to Start > Programs > PlaneShift > Player\'s Guide. This guide is also available on the website.


If you need further help, just ask.

go to the technical help forums, read all the important threads, use search to find your answer..

you do know that this is just a tech-demo right?
you\'re going through all this trouble and you can\'t even play the game yet..(just walk, talk, collect crystals and 2 quests.)

try to disable firewalls at port 13331

P.S: Axsyrus, if you don\'t like questions, i think it\'s better for you to avoid Newbie Help and Technical help forum ;)

compare the usefulness and the kindness of two posts...

If you don\'t like stupid question (i.e that was already answered), i just advise you to not come here since many questions here can be classed as stupid... Some people are patients (look at Mogura), some not (you and me probably). But if you are not enough patient, that\'s not a good idea to come here just to say to every newbie \'please (...)\'

he already had 2 threads on the general talk forums, that is why i gave a short answer, i\'m not gonna tell him what to do over and over again..

Yeah, but the fact that he already had 2 should tell you that he\'s a technofob(or sth like it) and needs more \"special\" attention.
