Silly Cabal (http://www.theforsakenones.com/sillycabal/)
OMG, I can\'t stand it...hahahahaha
-
HAHAHA that is gold....
oopsy cabal? I get the feeling that some of the stuff there wasnt meant to be public ;)

Somehow reading this and some other guilds related posts around brings me memories from my Planetarion times and its alliances.. spying, hacking, bashing, flaming et cetera :(
I sure hope this game never comes to the point where only being in strong guilds allows you to success - guilds are good but the game should stay balanced, of course some guilds are stronger than others but it shouldn\'t have to mean one or two guilds own the rest and the rest just have miserable times making them only concentrate on their survival.
Just my 2 cents, correct me if I have misunderstood something.. been around for a short while only :)
-
Yeah, I noticed that and had a good time reading it. I thought they were evil, not chaotic :D
Maybe we should post a list of the guilds to help ?
Edit : by chaotic , I obviously don\'t speak about the alignment, which I definitely don\'t think of with disrespect.

It is already posted. Multiple instances.
Sticky.

I hope too. But I don\'t think we\'ll get anywhere near that soon.
If you want to have a really powerful guild, you will need very good people at the top, with leadership abilities, as well as motivated people at every level. This means people that have ambition and who will probably, someday, depart from the guild and create their own if they are stuck. Too many potential leaders won\'t be happy together, that should limit the size of the guilds and provides opportunities for new guilds.
A powerful guild can be attractive for someone who wants to progress quickly and has much to offer, or for someone who just wants to be sheltered and helped and doesn\'t mean to make too much effort. The former will either find his place, or be frustrated at some point because he will not have enough elbow room to achieve what he wants to. The latter will either stay and not bring any advantage to the guild or be thrown out of it. In any case, an equilibrium should be reached.
People who has got enough experience can form their own guild without repeating the past errors. I think that if you want to build something that has some chance to survive long enough, you have to carefully choose your \"associates\" especially at the beginning, and think about your structure, beliefs and strategy so that it can grow efficiently and safely. Like that, I see no reason why a new guild couldn\'t last and prosper in due time.
Besides, it is a safeguard against chaotic people pretending to introduce spies, or other doubtful and childish tactics meant to harm guilds, supposedly for the sake of RPing. Maybe we should only see them as crows feeding on the unfit :P
Finally, when economy will be in (in a more complete way), big guilds won\'t be able to survive on their own, they will need smaller ones to do business. People alone won\'t be able to compete against groups, either, so there always will be a pool of available characters eager to join.
That\'s only my opinion for what it\'s worth ;)

Nice post CadRipper, valid points.
True, the community is still young and the game is taking shape. My comparison to Planetarion was a bit invalid, pretty much only thing common are guilds (alliances). We can avoid the mistakes that have ruined some other games and the setup here is so much different with coming economics, jobs et cetera that I suppose I shouldn\'t be worried ;-)
-
Huru, I wouldn\'t know about Planetarion ;)
Concerning the bad OOC behaviour, it seems we have our share here like everywhere else, even if somewhat small. It\'s an unavoidable thing. It will always exist in the community, both in forums and in game.
That shouldn\'t be a worry as long as they are isolated cases. If this is becoming the act of organized groups, and if they are obviously spoiling the gameplay, it shouldn\'t be a problem to report this and ban them. Unless I\'m totally mistaken on the goals of this MMORPG of course.
Like you said, hopefully we shouldn\'t be too worried, but it\'s good to watch those points closely, and take profit from bad experiences :)

It was posted in General Discussion. This thread got moved.
-
Savion posted his feelings on this under the other thread.
-
This reminds me of that one guild, a while back, what\'s their face....TOB, or something, with that spammming guy and stuff.....you know?
LOL
-
Ya, they posted they were going to make new names and spam the forum til they were banned on them, on their public forums...that was so hilarious.
Although this isn\'t as funny, maybe later though :P
-
lol, even we arn\'t that bad. We only post what everyone already knew. :D
-
Yeah, that is what I figured, which is what I don\'t really see the point of this thread, I guess because they thought they had something on you it was funny? :P
-
i think it was the stupidity of the posting that made us laugh... i forget... that was yestarday...... or was it?
-
the fact that made it funny was quite simply that you thought you had something on the cabal, which you didn\'t, and then started arguing about it...
The whole of this is ridiculous...
-
No Xalthar, you\'re ridiculous!
...I don\'t know

No, ridiculous is spy that talks about his targets loudly in a public place :P
No matter that people already know that he will spy on them, it just makes him even more ridiculous.
Discussion on that public thread was actually ridiculous too :P
-
LMAO. If u were slightly clever u would realise that the people in that conversation had just about nothing to do with our spy activities. More so they were suggesting. We\'ve posted lots of times in the PS forums on suggestion, but as soon as we post in a different forum, your primitive brain thinks that it\'s funny? :D
-
BAH. Cut this krap. Some people find it funny, others don\'t.
Some people find rotten.com funny, some don\'t.
...
.
.
.
See?
-
Xordan: read my post again and again and again...
untill you notice there is more than 1 line :P
-
I agree with lynx.. and to a degree with Xordan... The more primitive ones wits, the less it takes to be amused..
-
Savion does find one thing funny.... that people are taking common knowledge and trying to use it against the Cabal. Does anyone else find a little bit of humor in that?
