This may have already been covered but I think sooner or later, types of \"alcohol\" should be made availiable in the game that has effects on the characters i.e. screen goes blurry/faded, text becomes jumbled when chatting etc etc
I read somewhere that in either Asheron\'s Call or Anarchy Online you can drink beer and it has similar effects on players (in-game).
I just think that it would be fun, after a hard days fighting, a few guys head down to the inn to get slaughtered and make complete tits out of themselfs: yelling random words, walking into walls and perhaps end up somewhere, not knowing how they got there.
For you chaps wondering what the actual point of it is:
It could also temporally increase charisma - you down a couple of mugs and your charisma rises, thinking to yourself \"I\'ll just have one more to get that extra bit of charisma\" so you drink some more and before you know it, your a blubbering wreck!
I read a post on here about alcohol tollerence: depending on how high your characters tollerence to the drug is can effect how high your charisma can potentionally rise, before plummiting to zero.
I would appreciate any acknowledgements :)

lol yes that would be fun to have in game, and after seeing what the devs talk about most of the time i think it will be implemented at some point :P
don\'t think this will be very soon though.. this sort of things will probably have to wait untill the non-beta version of planeshift gets released.
edit: my spelling gets bad after 1 am ...

Asheron\'s Call did have alcohol, but it didn\'t make the character drunk or anything.
-
I hope they implement it, They seemed a little opposed to it in the first beer thread (some people not the devs) but as this is the third thread on the same topic I reckon its popular demand to have it in.

I think beer/alcohol would be a great in game addition. Have the rate at which it effects you based on your constitution. Then it could raise your charisma but lower your dexterity. Unless they want to add the drunken fighting style as a skill that is.
-
EDIT: Oh never mind. :)
-
great idea who doesn\'t want to kik back and knock down a couple of beers and wonder around in a state of confusion :) sounds like the life for me.

I agree... we need alcohol for the dwarves :)
But your own perception of your charisma would increase ;) but yea, I don\'t think there would be an actual increase in charisma.... all alcohol does as a benefit is increase pain tolerance :P

I think alcohol would decrese some of the charisma however ;)

Well alcohol will probably be put in later. drunkness i don\'t kno and atribute bonus i hope never cause who here has noticed how charming a drunk is

A bit of alcohol is good for charisma (at least, it is for mine), but too much... well... drunk *hips*
